The MQA's Mpumalanga Regional Office embarked on an information-sharing drive following an invitation to facilitate a career guidance session for the local schools around eMalahleni (Witbank), sharing valuable information with the learners on the MQA's Bursary Scheme as well as learning programmes that include learnerships and skills programmes.

This provided an opportunity for inspiring engagements and meaningful conversations with enthusiastic young learners eager to discover the exciting and diverse career opportunities available in the mining and minerals sector.

Their curiosity and enthusiasm reaffirmed the importance of the MQA’s initiatives to empower mining communities and inspire the next generation of industry professionals.

Celebrating Women, Wellness and the Power of Togetherness!

The MQA celebrated Women’s Month in style on 28 August 2026 by hosting a Women’s Wellness Day—a special occasion dedicated to recognising, appreciating and honouring the remarkable women who continue to drive the MQA’s mandate and make a meaningful difference every day.

Inspired by the theme “Floral Elegance,” the event blossomed into a beautiful celebration of positivity, wellness and sisterhood. Colleagues came together to pause, reflect and reconnect, sharing heartfelt moments of encouragement, inspiration and appreciation while uplifting one another.

It was more than a celebration—it was a reminder of the strength, beauty and collective power of women when they support, inspire and empower one another.
