*UNION MEETING TAKES PRIORITY OVER MAJOR FAULTS IN WATER AND ELECTRICITY DEPARTMENTS*
The severity of this institutional failure was made starkly clear today. While the city grapples with major water bursts and widespread electricity outages, there were no emergency teams on standby.
Astonishingly, all departments were attending a union meeting, for which no prior notice was provided to councillors.
This left us unable to respond to emergencies or even to alert residents, highlighting a complete breakdown in communication and priority.
Union Meeting Takes Priority Over Emergencies
Residents are rightly demanding answers during today's widespread water and electricity outages. Here is the unacceptable reality we faced.
All relevant departments were unavailable to deploy emergency teams because they were attending a union meeting. Most critically, this meeting was not communicated to councillors, leaving us powerless to alert you or escalate the emergencies.
This is not an isolated incident but a symptom of a broken system. It confirms a profound disregard for the public.
