⚡ POWER RESTORED – PARSONS VLEI

Good news, residents!

The Electricity team was on site, located the fault, and successfully restored power to Argus Street and the surrounding areas.

⚡ POWER OUTAGE UPDATE – PARSONS VLEI

The electricity team has been on site and confirmed that the outage is due to a main cable fault. Previously, the red phase was still holding, but all three phases are now down.

Unfortunately, a temporary supply is not currently possible because the nearest CDU with power is approximately 500+ metres away.

The team will try to reach the fault today, but there is a possibility they may not be able to do so because the test section has too many faults to access.

⚡ POWER OUTAGE UPDATE – PARSONS VLEI

Residents in Argus Street and surrounding streets in Parsons Vlei are currently experiencing a power outage.

I have reported the outage to the Electricity Department and requested that a team be dispatched to investigate and attend to the fault.

I will provide residents with an update as soon as I receive further information.

⚡ PATENSIE AVENUE POWER UPDATE

Good morning Residents,

The electricity supply will be switched off today in Patensie Avenue to allow the technical team to carry out further fault-finding and identify the cause of the ongoing electrical fault.

The team will work to locate and resolve the fault as quickly as possible.

The team has managed to restore power by temporarily putting everyone onto one phase. Everyone should now have power restored.

The fault-finding work will continue to identify and resolve the underlying fault.

The technicians attended to the electrical fault earlier today, but unfortunately the supply has tripped again.

The fault appears to require further investigation to identify the underlying cause. Unfortunately, the teams will only be back on site tomorrow to carry out detailed fault-finding and resolve the cause of the trip.

I understand the frustration this is causing and will continue following up to ensure the matter is attended to.

Water Update – 21 September 2026 | 06:15

Good morning Residents,

Low water pressure and no water have been reported in parts of Rowallan Park and Parsons Vlei.

The matter has been reported, and I am awaiting feedback from the Municipality regarding the cause and expected restoration time.

I will continue to monitor the situation and provide an update as soon as I receive further information.

⚡ ELECTRICAL FAULT UPDATE – PATENSIE AVE, BRIDGEMEADE

The fuses were replaced earlier and held, but because the fault takes time to trip the supply, it is difficult to locate the exact fault.

The power has now tripped again. Artisans will attend to replace the fuse and hopefully it will hold overnight.

A full team will be on site tomorrow morning to carry out detailed fault-finding along the Patensie Avenue mains cable.

Good morning Residents,

⚡ ELECTRICAL FAULT – PATENSIE AVE, BRIDGEMEADE

Residents, an update on the electrical fault affecting several homes in Patensie Avenue.

Two fuses were replaced this morning, but unfortunately they have blown again. This indicates a possible fault on the main electricity cable.

The cable will need to be excavated so the fault can be located and repaired. This is likely to take some time, and there is currently no timeframe for restoration.
