A call to all branches as candidate selection ward conferences get underway ⚫️🟢🟡✊🏾

As we undertake candidate selection ward conferences, let us contest one another as comrades, not as enemies.

This is a democratic process, not an expression of hatred, division or disdain. Let discipline, unity and political maturity guide us.

Contest as comrades. Preserve unity. Serve the people Together.

Amandla! ✊🏾

((IN PICTURES)) Today the ANC in Tolomane Mnyayiza Region bid farewell to Cde Sithembiso Cele, a committed cadre, educator, leader and lifelong servant of the people.

Comrades, family members, friends and members of the community gathered in solemn unity, dressed in the colours of the movement, to pay their final respects to a leader whose life was defined by service, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to the people.

Cde Cele’s passing has robbed the ANC, the education sector, local government and the broader community of a humble and principled leader who gave his life to the advancement of others. He understood that leadership was not about status or privilege, but about responsibility, discipline and service.

Throughout his life, Cde Cele remained rooted among the people. Whether in the classroom, in the structures of the movement, or in local government, he carried himself with dignity and served with dedication. His work and contribution will continue to live on in the history of the Tolomane Mnyayiza Region and in the lives of those he touched.

The send-off was honoured by the presence of ANC Second Deputy Convenor, Cde Siboniso Duma, together with members of the Provincial Task Team and the Tolomane Mnyayiza Regional Task Team, who joined the Cele family, comrades and the community in celebrating the life of this outstanding servant of the people.

The ANC in Tolomane Mnyayiza Region extends its deepest gratitude to the Cele family for allowing the movement and the people to share in the life and service of Cde Sithembiso Cele. His memory will remain a source of strength and inspiration as we continue the struggle for transformation, dignity and a better life for all.

TOLOMANE MNYAYIZA REGION STRENGTHENS STRATEGY AHEAD OF ELECTIONS

Today marked the opening of a pivotal two-day Regional Elections Strategic Workshop, attended by deployees of the Provincial Task Team (PTT) led by Comrade Nomagugu Simelane. The gathering brought together the Tolomane Mnyayiza Region’s RET, RTT, LET, and Troika structures in preparation for the upcoming local government elections on 4 November 2026.

The workshop’s central objective is to rebuild activism, restore public confidence in the African National Congress (ANC), and ensure accountability and discipline among candidates who will stand under the ANC banner. Delegates emphasized that candidates must embody the values of service, integrity, and dedication to the people.

ANC members were encouraged to remain visible on the ground, advance the movement’s mandate, and continuously drive community development. Comrades were urged to approach the future not with fear, but with confidence in a renewed strategy of unity and growth.

Speaking at the workshop, Comrade Xolani Luthuli, Convener of the Tolomane Mnyayiza Region, stressed: “This workshop is not a box-ticking exercise but one aimed at reclaiming the power of the ANC and bringing back renewed confidence of the public in the ANC.”

Adding to this, Comrade Nomagugu Simelane, PTT Fundraiser, highlighted the importance of inclusive campaigning. “The ANC’s campaigning strategy must concentrate on all ages, especially the younger generation. When choosing candidates, comrades must nominate people of good standing in their communities. This will instil hope in the community and strengthen the ANC and its campaign.”

The workshop sets the tone for a disciplined, people-centred campaign that seeks to unite communities, strengthen activism, and reaffirm the ANC’s role as a movement committed to service and development.
