The Democratic Alliance in JB Marks will start actively calling you from today to ensure that you are correctly registered. We have received information that there will be two anticipated voter-registration weekends: one at the end of June and another at the end of July, after which the voters’ roll will close.

This is one of the most important municipal registration periods we will ever face. JB Marks cannot endure another term under ANC governance. Please take five minutes and answer the call.

From January, we will also be present at every Snowflake Market to assist with and maximise voter registration. We are committed to doing everything possible to reclaim and rebuild our towns — but we need your support and participation to strengthen our efforts.

Good Morning Residents
Please be vigilant and think safety first when you are in the area of Dassierand and Promosa.
Some protests erupted during the early hours of today.
Currently the authorities are on the scene and it is monitored.
The N12 is not affected at this stage but the Dassierand access road to Promosa is closed.

This is actually _Disaster Management’s number, but the only Municipal phone that is currently manned and answered.
The person who answers will pass the problem on to the relevant Municipal department.

At least the Municipal e-mail addresses still work.

Monday 27 May 2024 and Tuesday 28 May 2024 from 9:00 until 17:00.
All other votes will be cast on 29 May 2024 between 7:00 and 21:00.

Please make use of your democratic right to vote for a government of your choice.

NB NB NB:
Please remember to bring your barcoded identity document with when you come to vote.
Only smart identity cards, barcoded green id books and temporary id’s are allowed for purposes of voting.
You will not be able to vote with a copy of your id or a passport or a driver’s licence.

If you have lost or misplaced your id document, please make an appointment with Home Affairs, online, and apply for a temporary id together with your new identity document.
Department of Home Affairs are working extended hours and will also be open on Saturday and on voting day from 8:00 to 16:00.
