This afternoon, we held a Service Delivery Scouting Meeting with councillors and city officials in Mamelodi, Region 6, ahead of the upcoming week-long programme.

We identified key service delivery priorities that will receive attention during the programme, including:

• Streetlights
• Potholes
• Grass cutting
• Stormwater drainage maintenance
• Clearing of illegal dumping sites
• Repairing water leaks
• Replacing damaged meter boxes
• Removal of Illegal electricity connections

Our commitment is to ensure that we provide dignified service delivery to the residents of Mamelodi.

WATCH: We have 502 informal settlements in Tshwane. This number mushroomed during Covid-19 from the initial 220. We have formulated a policy direction, the Informal Settlement Management Policy, to manage the number of informal settlements in the city. The first category deals with formalising some of the informal settlements. The other category deals with finding suitable placements.
