"Am Jay and you?." He asked me.
I stood there staring at him for a minute or so
What's this?
Who is this,?
And why am I feeling so nervous and uneasy around him.
"Excuse me." He said breaking the silence.
I looked at him again and walked away.
I went to the cafeteria.
To get something to eat,I was hungry.
Earlier Miss Charlotte showed me around the institution
So it wasn't hard for me to locate the cafeteria.
I walked to the cafeteria.
Someone tapped my shoulder from behind.
And what's this again.
Why is he following me.
"What is it this time, stay away from me please!" I said as I turned back to look at the person that tapped me.
It wasn't Jay,I thought it was Jay.
It was Mr Wayne.
I felt excited to see him.
He was smiling
"Hello Mr Wayne." I said smiling too.
He stopped smiling and sighed.
He looked like he was about to say something so painful.
I could see the hurt in his eyes.
Uhmm, what did I do?
I said something wrong?
Oh,oh,
"I meant hello dad." I said trying to figure out what went wrong.
He didn't say anything.
He just stood there staring at me.
I started feeling bad.
Obviously he was going through this because of me.
But it wasn't my fault though.
I lost my memory.

"Yum,uhhm am sorry da....d,am just not used to this,I don't remember a thing.
Just some time I'd get used to it." I said hugging him.
He hugged me back
"Jay, we've got to talk.
I also need to show you something." He said.
"Ok fine." I replied.
"Where are we going?" I asked as we walked through the exit.
"You'd get to know soon.'" He said.
"Wow! Am permitted to leave the institution, that's so cool" I said walking behind him.
"Nah, nah only with me okay? You won't try to leave the institution on your own will you?. He asked.
"Nope sure,I won't." I said.
We got to his car,
Such a nice car.
He opened the door for me and I got in.
He got in too and drove off .
While he was driving,I was looking out of the window.
Seeing cars, restaurants,bars salon's places,
I don't even remember.
Everything looked strange to me
Except a place,an ice cream shop.
He actually pulled over there.
"Want some ice cream?" He asked.
"Sure dad." I replied.
He left the car.
It was a cool evening.
No bring atmosphere
No fear
No depression
Everything just seemed perfect.
I closed my eyes and smiled.
Few minutes later,dad got in.
"You know what dad." I began.
"Yeah?" He said.
"I kinda remember this place." I said
I remember,it feels so familiar.
"Yeah, you your mom and me, we do come over here every Sundays." He stopped.
"Oh I knew it, did you just say mom?" I asked.
He nodded.
"I've got a mom?" I asked
He nodded again.
Kept his eyes fixed on the road.
"Wow wow"
",And she didn't come visit me for a day?
"Why haven't I seen her dad?" I asked.
"Jay!" he shouted.
"Stop,just stop ok?
We'd talk about this later." He snapped.
"No offense ok ok." I said.
"Am sorry ok? This is not the perfect time to talk about her." He sniffed.
"Okay if you say so." I said finally.

We got to an hospital and he parked.
We got down.
"Why....." I said getting cut off by him.
"No more questions,please Jay
Please you'd get to know why soon." He said.
"Okay...." I said
He led the way, seeing different faces that I don't know, it felt uncomfortable.
"Wait here he said."
I nodded.
Figured why he was acting weird.
He went over to a female,she was on a surgeon Coat.
They said one or two things and dad came back
"Let's go" he said and I followed him
We got to a room,one of the hospitals room precisely
"Your brother is over there" he said.
"What?, What brother? I asked.
"No Jay, don't ask,I'd explain later, just do what I ask for now." He said.
I went over to an incubator.
I could see him.
He was so tiny and cute.
Dad came over
He was crying.
I hugged him.
"Dad it's fine, we'd be fine." I said.
I hugged him
"I've got to take you back to the Institution,our time is up" He said.
"No dad, you've got to talk to me you promised dad." I said resisting.
"Yes jay but this isn't the right time, I'd tell you later I've got to take you back." He said
I was weak already so tired.
I didn't argue again
I just nodded and gave in
Dad walked to him in the incubator and muttered some words
Then he came back to me.
"We are good to go Jay. " He said and led the way.
We got out of the hospital
To his car, I stumbled.
"Jay, are you ok?" He asked.
I wasn't feeling okay, I felt so weak and uncomfortable.
I didn't respond at first
Dad carried me and was taking me back to the hospital.
I didn't want that
The last thing I want right now is to be treated this way.
"Dad, dad" I called.
"Jay, yes Jay." He responded.
"Am fine dad, I guess am not just use to this atmosphere just take be back, not to the hospital please. " I pleaded.
"You're sure?" He asked looking worried.
"Yes am fine." I said.
He carried be back to the car and dropped me at the back seat.
He got in and drove off
Few minutes later I felt much better.
I groaned and yawned
"Jay" dad called
"Yeah dad?." I said
"You cool?." He asked
"Super cool." I replied.

I was thinking about alot of things
Why dad behaves so weird anything I bring mom up.
I just wondered what was wrong.
" I wonder how mom looks like" I said out loud, dad didn't respond.
"Oh, dad I saw you and me in a picture in my bathroom and a woman too"
"Is she mom?. " I asked
He didn't reply too.
"Alright alright am gonna get some sleep" I announced.
", Okay" He said faintly.
Few minutes later he was still driving
I was still thinking.
"Jay" he called
I didn't reply
"Sleeping already? " I didn't reply too
"Jay your mom was a beautiful and inspiring woman and you look so much like her" he muttered to his self.
But I heard it.
I heard it all.
"I hope I'd get to see her soon" I said to myself.
And I slept off.
"Jay, jay" that woke me up.
I opened my eyes to see dad and I smiled
"We are back." He said.
I nodded, I came out.
"Let's go in" he said.
"No dad, it's fine just go home and get some rest am fine." I said.
"You're sure? " he asked.
"Super sure dad, moreover we've got securities so am fine." I assured
"Okay then, I love you jay. " He said hugging me.
"I love you too dad." I replied.
"Go in" He said.
I nodded and waved.
I walked away into the institution
I stopped and looked back.
He drove out already.
I walked inside we got securities everywhere.
I was glad no one came over to take me to my room like an infant.
All I wanted was to be treated like a normal child.
I smiled as what dad said about mom came to my mind.
"Your mom was a beautiful and inspiring woman and look so much like her" I repeated to myself.
Hold on 😮 😮
Dad said "was"
He didn't make use of "is"
Does that mean mom is late.
Nope that can't be maybe
I didn't hear him well
I said smiling.
"Wow you've got a great smile." A voice said
LO and behold it was Jay
I didn't see him coming
I didn't reply, I just continued walking.
"You're ignoring me? " He asked.
I didn't want to talk
I hate it when people pester me
And that's what he is doing
Maybe or maybe not
"Jay he is just being nice to you " a voice rang in my head.
I don't think so
"Hello!" He said trying to touch me.
"Hey don't, don't you dare touch me, I don't know what or who you are and why you keep appearing in my best moments but please stay away from me." I snapped
And walked away leaving him transfixed.
I got to my to my room and shut the door.
I sat on the bed and felt bad about what I said to him
Was I being too hard?
Was I harsh?
Well I don't know!
I said as sleeping came to me
I was so tired and weak
Sweet and tempting.
I slept off
