🚨 PUBLIC NOTICE: REPARTRIATION BUS INFORMATION UPDATE

The DPP Diaspora Wing RSA would like to inform the general public that the Government has not yet assigned any individual, institution, or organization to manage the repatriation exercise.

We have noted with concern that false information is being circulated, claiming that buses are available. Some individuals are taking advantage of this misinformation and asking people for money in exchange for access to these non-existent services.

⚠️ Please be warned:
Do NOT pay anyone claiming to offer repatriation transport at this time.

DPP Diaspora has appointed coordinators in different areas to identify and assist affected individuals. We encourage everyone to communicate only through the official contacts provided.

The Government will officially announce the repatriation process through the correct channels when it begins.

DPP DIASPORA RSA WING is pleased to announce the appointment of Madam Stengie Tshabalala Monsieur as the 2nd Vice Governor of the wing.

This appointment comes after the current governors identified the importance and need of having women represented in high leadership positions within the organization. The move is aimed at creating more opportunities for women to actively participate in politics and leadership roles.

Speaking on the appointment, the Publicity Secretary for the wing, Mr Akefe Sukali Mviza, highlighted the importance of empowering women in leadership, saying both the Constitution of Malawi and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) recognize and promote the important role women play in national development and politics.

Mr Mviza further emphasized the importance of ending tribal politics and promoting national unity within the wing. He stated that the appointment of Madam Stengie Tshabalala Monsieur, who comes from the Southern Region of Malawi, helps bring regional balance within the leadership structure, as the governors now represent the Southern, Central, and Northern regions of Malawi.

The DPP Diaspora RSA Wing remains committed to unity, inclusiveness, development, and equal participation for all.

Today, as the DPP Diaspora RSA Wing, we join Malawians across the world in honoring the legacy of Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda — the founding President and father of the Malawi nation.

Though we may belong to different political parties and generations, we cannot ignore the foundation laid by the man who came first and helped build Malawi from the ground up. True patriotism means giving respect where it is due and recognizing leaders whose vision shaped the nation we call home today.

Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda stood for discipline, unity, self-reliance, education, infrastructure development, and national identity. His leadership inspired a spirit of hard work and pride among Malawians. Many of the institutions, roads, schools, and systems that continue to serve the nation today were established during his era of leadership.

As the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), we honor Kamuzu Banda because his vision of development, patriotism, order, and national progress continues to resonate with the values we believe in as a movement. We recognize that Malawi’s journey did not begin today — it was built through sacrifice, courage, and leadership from pioneers like Kamuzu Banda.

The DPP Diaspora RSA Wing believes that remembering our history is not about politics alone, but about preserving national pride and teaching future generations to appreciate those who contributed to the growth of Malawi.

The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Diaspora Wing in the Republic of South Africa wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to His Excellency, Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, for the appointment of Honorable Kamlepo Kalua as Chief Executive Officer of Umodzi Holdings.

As members of the diaspora, we take great pride in leadership that values inclusivity, merit, and the recognition of individuals who have consistently demonstrated commitment to national development.

This appointment is a clear indication that the President continues to listen to the voices of Malawians both at home and abroad.
