💛 URGENT HELP NEEDED – HOUSE DEO GRATIA 💛

We are reaching out with a humble and urgent request…

The combi at House Deo Gratia is more than just a vehicle — it is a lifeline. It helps us transport and support those in our care, making sure children and families get where they need to be safely.

Right now, our combi urgently needs two tyres (195 R14C) to stay on the road, and we simply cannot manage this on our own.

We are trusting our community to help us keep this vital service going 🙏 Even the smallest contribution, a lead, or simply sharing this post can make a real difference.

💙 URGENT APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE – VAAL YOUTH HOMES 💙

Our funds are running critically low, and we are reaching out to our community for support. Vaal Youth Homes currently cares for vulnerable children who rely on us for daily meals, basic necessities, electricity, transport, and specialised care.

💔 Urgent Appeal – House Trentico 💔

Due to a faulty electrical breaker, House Trentico experienced a power outage that went unnoticed for several days. Sadly, this resulted in the loss of all our frozen meat, frozen vegetables, eggs, and mieliemeel, as the food spoiled.

This is a significant setback for our home and the children in our care. We are reaching out with humility to ask for any assistance, whether in the form of food donations or financial contributions, to help us restock essential items.

✨ What a Special Day! ✨
Yesterday we had the privilege of visiting the Joy of Life Horse Ranch!! The team understood that each of our children has a story. The team said their strength, courage and joy truly shined. Their smiles and laughter made the teams whole day. ❤️

Some were a bit scared of the horses at first, but they faced their fears and soon they were standing close, touching, and interacting with them. It was beautiful to watch!

The day ended the with lots of fun boeresport games and unforgettable horse moments. 🐴🎉
The children and staff of Vaal Youth homes are grateful for the opportunity that our children had to share this experience with the team of Joy of Life!

Thank you Joy of Life, from the bottom of our hearts for investing time, resources, money and lots of patience and love!!

Our domestic workers, primary caregivers and relief caregivers were able to relax and have a Mental Health-Year-End Function on rhe ranch. Our staff could breathe, knowing that the children were in good hands. It was an interactive session and everyone took part in emotional regulation activities. From mindful colouring to glitter jars to sensory clay. Pool noodles became swords and the "sword-fights" had everone laughing. Each received a comfort worm, as their personal Emotional Regulation Companion Buddy. All three houses received a footspa to nurture the children and emotional regulation tools. Thank you Tanya Mong for all your assistance, support, encouragement and the beatiful boxes you put together for our staff!!

Mental Health & Year-End Fun Day — 20 or 21 December

This year has been big. Emotional. Beautiful. Challenging.
Our children, staff and volunteers have poured their hearts into healing, learning and growing — and now, we want to end the year with something truly special:

✨ A Mental Health Year-End Function ✨
A day filled with joy, laughter, swimming, crafts, boeresport, connection…
A day to breathe.
A day where every child gets to feel light, safe, loved and celebrated.

But to make this happen, we need our community. ❤️

🏡 WE NEED A VENUE
A place with:
• A swimming pool
• Space for boeresport
• Tables for craft activities

To help with games, activities, braai prep, crafts and making the day magical.

💛 WE NEED YOUR HELP… URGENTLY. 💛
Villa Lubet – Vanderbijlpark

This home is filled with love, laughter, and children who deserve safety, dignity, and a warm place to grow. But right now… we are facing a long list of repairs that we simply cannot manage alone.

Our funding does not cover these urgent needs — and we are pleading with our community to step in. Even one item sponsored or one hour volunteered can change everything.

🛠️ What needs urgent attention:

- Repairing the thatch roof of the lapa + installing a lightning conductor
- An electrician to inspect unsafe cables and the DB board
- Closing an open sewage pipe
- Fixing & restoring the jungle gym (sanding, varnish, swing repairs & paint)
- Volunteers to help declutter
- Painting the entire house inside & out
- Fixing a drainage problem at the back
- Replacing damaged bedroom doors
- Fixing closet handles
- Replacing the children's bathroom shower glass door & towel railings
- Repairing ceiling damage in the dining room & bedroom

These are not “nice-to-haves.”
These are basic needs for a safe, healthy home.
And we cannot do it without you. 💛
