Distinguished citizens of Chavuma, as we approach August 13, 2026, a pivotal year for making informed decisions, I have been made aware that the community continues to grapple with challenges that defy explanation.

I would like to take this opportunity to enlighten you that Chavuma's experiences with hardship, fear, division, inequality, and selective empowerment are not without purpose. We have witnessed instances where a single household has received CDF grants multiple times. There is a reason behind Chavuma's trials. I am pleased to announce this morning that with the coming of Dr. Frederick Fwoloshi, the leader of the Slasher movement, change is really imminent.

It is time to reject the current leadership style, which has disrespected and humiliated the will of the people of Chavuma for far too long. As I have always emphasized, let us unite. We must not forget that some of our own citizens remain incarcerated, and it has come to my attention that they have been denied their right to a fair trial, spending nights in jail without due process.

Honorable country Men and women, I am confident that a new era of leadership, characterized by a new wave of change, is on the horizon. Under this new administration of Dr. Frederick Fwoloshi and his Slasher Movement, there will be no favoritism or elitism. We are one people, and we will live as such, with justice served to all.

For years, Chavuma has been synonymous with peace, but unfortunately, we have also become known for our challenges. Brothers and sisters, let us rally behind Dr. Frederick Fwoloshi to restore Chavuma's greatness.

I firmly believe that we have the power to make Chavuma great again because we are the only credible alternative to lead Chavuma towards the change, social justice, and development that our people deserve.

Brothers and sisters of Chavuma, let us take this moment to reflect on our past and resolve to build a better future for our district. Let us strive to create a district that is worthy of our children's dreams. Let us honor the legacy of distinguished leaders like Honorable Kenneth Khonga.

With the newly launched Slasher Movement, I am confident that the Slasher will slash all the bad elements and seeds of division and confusion which have germinated on the land of Chavuma, which was once known as a place where life was as peaceful as a baby's sigh. We have snakes, rats, mosquitoes, and all the elements that resemble danger to human life hiding in the grass; which is why the Slasher's presence in Chavuma is both timely and necessary.

Dr. Frederick Fwoloshi, the leader of the Slasher movement, paid a visit to the funeral home of his aunt, Mrs. Getrude, who tragically passed away in a road traffic accident in Chavuma District's Chingi area.

Accompanied by key campaign team members including Campaign Manager Mr. Brain Samuhila, Vice Campaign Manager Mr. Shadrick Kasaka, Mobilisation Director Mr. Jordan Mukuma, Youths Chairman Mr. Sachinyama, and IPS James Kambukwe.

The aspiring Member of Parliament for Chavuma constituency described his aunt as an epitome of love and care, noting that she was a cornerstone of the family who championed peace and unity, and her untimely demise had caused significant distress and frustration.

'My aunt embodied the values of care, love, and peacemaking. The loss is indescribable. I pray for peace, love, and unity among us. Though she is gone, her legacy of love, wisdom, and values endures. May she find strength in the impact she made, comfort in cherished memories, and peace knowing her spirit guides us,' Dr. Fwoloshi expressed.

He emphasized that his aunt's legacy would never be forgotten, guiding that her love transforms into the strength, wisdom, and compassion that lives on.

I hold you close in my thoughts. May the love and memories shared bring us comfort.'

DISTINGUISHED FELLOW HONORABLE COUNTRY MEN AND WOMEN.

As we join the rest of Africa in commemorating Africa Freedom Day, it is pertinent that we reflect on our current state of affairs rather than indulge in celebration.

We find ourselves in a precarious situation where our utmost desire is for Chavuma to be liberated from self-inflicted historical challenges.

I pose the question: How can we revel in freedom when we struggle to respect differing ideologies, when peace eludes Chavuma, and when division plagues the very fabric of our democracy?

How can we celebrate this hard-won freedom when residents of Chavuma are unable to exercise their fundamental rights to freedom of conscience, association, and assembly?

I reiterate: How can we commemorate this freedom when citizens are denied their constitutional right to contest as independent candidates and are subjected to brutality at the hands of those entrusted with safeguarding our democracy?

On this Africa Freedom Day, let us take a moment to reflect rather than celebrate.

I conclude by urging all well-intentioned residents of Chavuma to recognize August 13 as the true Africa Freedom Day and the second Chavuma Independence Day.

Happy Reflection Day.

We all desire Mr. Lumayi's removal from his position of authority, but first, the people of Chavuma must define their expectations. They must identify the qualities required of the individual who should represent Chavuma in Parliament. If the people of Chavuma lack clarity on their expectations, the subsequent administration will comprise individuals who are unqualified and unscrupulous. Therefore, it is essential that we establish our objectives.
We have Dr Frederick Fwoloshi, an independent candidate representing the Slasher movement, Mr Martin Kashika Sondoyi of the National Congress Party, and Mr Oscar Choza of the National Revolutionary Party for Unity and Progress; all are vying for a single seat in Parliament.

If you had the authority to modify a single aspect in Chavuma today, what would be your top priority:

Education, Employment, Justice, Health, Anti-corruption efforts, Unity, or Peace?
No offense is intended; let us engage in a candid discussion.

Three leaders, one Chavuma. Dr. Fwoloshi, an independent candidate representing the Slasher movement, Mr. Martin Kashika Sondoyi of the NCP party, and Mr. Oscar Choza of the NRPUP party, may don different party colors today, but after the ballot, we remain one people with a shared future. Let this campaign serve as a unifying force, rather than a divisive one. Chavuma prospers when we prioritize ideas over insults and unity over tribalism; campaigns should be a competition of ideas, not insults and violence. It is essential to remember that Chavuma is our sole homeland, and as God has ceased creating land, let us cherish it, develop it, and bequeath it to the next generation in a peaceful and loving manner.
