KABWE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OPENS 2027 CDF APPLICATIONS, SETS JULY 2026 DEADLINE.

Kabwe Municipal Council has officially opened applications for the 2027 Constituency Development Fund (CDF), calling on eligible residents to take advantage of the empowerment opportunities available.

The Council confirmes that applications are now being accepted under three key categories: Community Projects, Empowerment Grants, and Skills Development & Secondary School Bursaries.

How to Apply

Interested applicants must submit their completed forms through the Ward Development Committees (WDCs) in their respective wards. The deadline for all submissions is 30th July, 2026.

Application forms are being issued free of charge and can be collected from the Department of Development Planning at the Civic Centre, National Assembly Constituency Offices, or from local WDCs.

What You Need to Submit

To qualify, applicants must attach several supporting documents. These include a valid Certificate of Registration for groups, cooperatives, or enterprises; copies of Green National Registration Cards for all individual applicants or group members; proof of an active bank account; and the organization’s constitution.

Signed minutes authorizing the application, along with proof of property ownership, a lease agreement, or a consent letter, will also be required where applicable.

Who Can Apply

The Council stressed three key eligibility rules: applicants must have lived in the constituency for at least six months, all proposed projects must be located within the constituency, and every application must prove the project is viable and state how many direct jobs it will create.

Residents seeking more information are advised to visit the Department of Development Planning at the Civic Centre.

Yesterday we witnessed the commissioning of the Mothers and Relatives Shelter at Central Hospital, officiated by the Guest of Honour, Hon. Chrizoster Halwiindi Phiri, MP.
This is the largest shelter in the province, providing much-needed support and accommodation for those caring for their sick loved ones. It stands as a significant step forward in improving healthcare support systems in our community.

I am deeply honored to announce that following the UPND kabwe central structure nominations, I have been officially elected as the UPND Youth Chairperson for kabwe central constituency .
This mandate is more than just a title, it is a clear signal of the momentum we are building toward August 13th. Our victory is rooted in the transformative vision of President Hakainde Hichilema whose steadfast leadership and commitment to economic restoration and national unity serves as our guiding light Under his presidency. Zambia is reclaiming its place as a land of opportunity and we are proud to stand behind a leader who prioritizes the aspirations of all the Zambian youths.
