Kalulushi District Health Office Conducts 2027โ€“2029 District MTEF Planning

The Kalulushi District Health Office today concluded this year's District Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) Planning Session for 2027โ€“2029 at Kitwe College of Nursing in Kitwe.

The purpose of the meeting was to review district health priorities and prepare budgets for the 2027โ€“2029 MTEF period. The session provided an opportunity for staff to align planned activities with national health priorities, identify key interventions, and ensure the effective allocation of resources to improve health service delivery across Kalulushi District.

The collaborative planning process reinforces the District Health Office's commitment to strengthening the health system through evidence-based planning, accountability, and efficient resource utilization.

Empowering Community Health, One Bicycle at a Time ๐Ÿšฒ

Kalulushi Polyvalent Community-Based Volunteers received bicycles to enhance their reach and effectiveness in serving communities. These bicycles will enable them to travel farther, respond more efficiently, and continue delivering essential community-based services where they are needed most.

Training of 40 Peer Educators in Peer Education

The Kalulushi District Health Office, with support from CHRESO Ministries, successfully conducted a training programme for 40 Peer Educators in the district. The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of peer educators to effectively promote health education, support behaviour change interventions, and enhance community engagement in health service delivery.

The participants were selected from all 24 health facilities across the district to ensure broad representation and equitable coverage. During the training, participants were equipped with knowledge and skills in peer education principles, effective communication, health promotion, counselling techniques, and referral systems to enable them to effectively support health programmes within their respective facilities and communities.

The training is expected to enhance the quality of peer-led health education and contribute to improved uptake of health services across Kalulushi District through strengthened community participation and support.
