VOTER EDUCATION FACILITATORS UNDERGO ASSESSMENT IN LIMULUNGA DISTRICT
Following an intensive training programme for Voter Education Facilitators (VEFs), Limulunga District has commenced assessments to evaluate the knowledge and skills acquired by participants.
The individual assessments are aimed at measuring the knowledge, understanding, and competence of facilitators who are expected to be deployed across the 13 wards of Luena Constituency to conduct voter education activities ahead of the 13th August, 2026 General Elections.
The exercise seeks to ensure that only competent facilitators are engaged to deliver accurate and impartial voter education information to members of the public, thereby promoting informed participation in the electoral process.
The initiative forms part of ongoing electoral preparedness efforts to strengthen civic awareness and encourage active citizen participation in the forthcoming general elections.

LIMULUNGA DISTRICT HOLDS POLITICAL PARTY LIAISON COMMITTEE MEETING
Ahead of the 2026 General Elections, Limulunga District today 26th May 2026, held a Political Party Liaison Committee meeting aimed at strengthening stakeholder engagement and enhancing preparedness for the electoral process.
The meeting was led by the District Electoral Officer, Mr. Kaonga Namenda, and brought together representatives from various political parties as well as key stakeholders to discuss matters relating to the upcoming elections.
Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Kaonga emphasized the importance of continued collaboration, dialogue, and adherence to electoral guidelines to promote a peaceful, transparent, and credible electoral environment.
Stakeholders were further encouraged to uphold peace, tolerance, and mutual respect before, during, and after the elections, as collective efforts remain vital in ensuring a smooth electoral process.

LIMULUNGA DISTRICT COMMENCES TRAINING OF VOTER EDUCATION FACILITATORS

Limulunga District yesterday officially commenced a five-day training programme for Voter Education Facilitators (VEFs) in preparation for the forthcoming 2026 General Elections.

The training has brought together selected Voter Education Facilitators from across the district who are expected to play a critical role in disseminating voter education messages and promoting informed participation in the electoral process within communities.

The programme aims to equip facilitators with knowledge and practical skills on voter education delivery, electoral processes, civic responsibilities, voter participation, and the importance of peaceful, credible, and inclusive elections.

Officially opening the training, Limulunga District Electoral Officer, Mr. Kaonga Namenda , emphasized the vital role facilitators will play in ensuring communities receive accurate, timely, and non-partisan voter education ahead of the 2026 General Elections.

The training, which commenced on 25th May 2026, will run until 29th May 2026, during which facilitators will undergo intensive sessions to strengthen their capacity in community voter education.

The National Assembly Nominations for Luena Constituency are currently underway.
So far, the following candidates have successfully filed their nominations: Mr. Maliti Chimwaso (UPND) and Mr. Likando Sakubita (Independent).
