Thanks to every single child who came for the drawing and painting competition. It was a beautiful session. It was nice to see every child feel the beauty of painting with a variety of paint, a very rare opportunity most Children in rural communities get to experience.

At the end of the drawing and painting, each child was awarded with either pencils or crayons. The awards really encouraged them.

In our next drawing and painting competition we hope to see children get much bigger awards for the great drawings and paintings.

Muneli Child Centre will continue creating a conducive learning environment for every child around the community. From such drawings and paintings, we look forward to having more educational programs, perhaps running sessions with a projector bimmed on walls. Indeed a bright future is slowly shaping for a child in Sinde village.

MANAGING TASKS.
In every situation there are always one or two individuals who always desire to manage tasks. Penious is one such student who loves to complete his class work even though it's time to go for porridge. Other students would run out for lunch or break time with him so he would sit to complete his tasks.

Penious was enrolled at Muneli Child Centre when he was just a little boy, 2 years plus. Having been guided properly he now has attained his establishment in ECE, meaning he is ready for primary school come 2027. At five years old he can do amazing things. Penious is a brilliant student. #

Beyond what may seem not achievable but ambitious, kids at Muneli Child Centre also dream so high to assume key roles in our community and world at large. What was at one point displayed as a mere dressing parade during a Career's Day, today reminds us that indeed there are better results behind determination.

From their first entry through reception, the centre is committed to guiding every child to grow in knowledge, confidence, and character.

Each afternoon is always an amazing moment at Muneli Child Centre. Children always come to play and do reading.

Children were spotted picking thorny sticks from the Play Area before playing, a safety learning habit children are developing.

We are also pleased to see children playing inside a fenced play area, though we still need another 100 metres fence wire to complete the whole area.

There is indeed no other better place around the village for children than the Muneli Child Centre play area.

One evening Rester visited Nevers at his house. The boy seemed heavily carrying a face that seemed so confused and troubled. After giving him a chair and greeting him, he said, "Sir I am sorry to visit you this late but I couldn't hold myself. I am really troubled. I got 422 marks and I am selected to go to a boarding school, but my parents can't afford the school requirements. I need your help sir."

His story was actually normal to every would be listener or reader but his face and voice were far from a mere joke.

FAST FORWARD...

We picked his touching story though we didn't assure him anything. That night Nevers, with a true hope to help a child, wrote WhatsApp messages to only two (2) people. Luckily, one responded the following day.

With photos shared, Rester was helped to go to the boarding school. All school requirements were bought and he was put on a luxury bus to school from Livingstone. Rester wants to achieve a lot after his secondary school.

To you following Muneli Child Centre, we can imagine how much gratitude we have to people like you who read our stories and choose to make a difference. It's not because you have billions of money but because of a heart willing to make a difference.

A little story about the two handsome boys, Kelvin and John. The two boys live in Sinde Village, living with a hearing impairment.

Some years back when Muneli Child Centre began taking keen interest to learn, understand and take measures on the welfare of children around the village. Nevers who is the founder of the children's centre during his door-door visitations, came to know that indeed some children were not given equal attention and opportunities to discover their full strength.

Kelvin and John were included into the learning circles at Muneli Child Centre. But because the two really needed urgent measures to help them catch up with learning, Nevers started searching for other schools offering special education.

After a couple of months of really hard work, the two boys were linked to Lisa running DeSanto Centre in town. They got enrolled and they were picked to and from Simoonga to town for classes.

Unfortunately, transport became expensive, Lisa and Nevers sat to discuss the way forward. It was concluded that the boys find relatives to live with in town so that they could continue with school. Sadly they couldn't find anyone to live with in town nor could their parents afford to rent accommodation for them.

To date this story has continued not giving Nevers a peace of mind, seeing the boys drop off. Though KELVIN has continued coming to play at Muneli Child Centre and every time Nevers sees him, he bleeds inside. #

The little Play Area at Muneli child centre is ever busy. Children have now turned the place into a village paradise. From the start we knew children would love the place.

As children come to play, they also do reading through the Muneli Open Library, where we put various books on mats. Surely there is rarely no day without children at the centre. #

Rains are now gone and awaiting the elephants visits in the community including the school. This means the school has to use best practices to get plants around safe.

The Muneli Child Centre's full commitment and dream to continue taking care of the plants around will strongly push forward even without a permanent water system at the school. Here we go mulching. #
