Frogs of Zambia School Quiz
September is celebrated as the month of literacy, with International Literacy Day observed under the theme “Literacy for People, the Planet and Prosperity.” In line with this theme, the Livingstone Museum continues to promote the use of libraries while encouraging and strengthening reading, writing, critical-thinking skills among primary school learners.
As part of this year's commemoration, the Livingstone Museum invited Grade Six pupils from selected primary schools to participate in a school quiz held at the Museum today. The quiz was based on the theme “The Frogs of Zambia”, in line with the Museum’s temporary exhibition on "The Frogs of Zambia".
The quiz provided learners with an engaging opportunity to learn about Zambia’s frog species, their habitats, ecological importance and conservation, while developing teamwork and confidence.
The activity also demonstrated how museums and libraries can complement classroom learning by providing learners with interactive and educational experiences.
