The Government of His Excellency Mr. Hakainde Hichilema has even more ambitious plans for CDF beyond 2026. These are your projects. Guard them jealously. Ensure that the boreholes are maintained. Keep the classrooms clean. Pay back the empowerment loans so that others can also benefit. Remember, CDF has a revolving fund for loans â when you repay, you enable more people to be empowered.â
Mr. Chilekwa also paid tribute to the traditional leadership, recognizing the critical role played by Senior Chief Kopa, Chief Kabinga, Chief Luchembe, and Chief Mpepo in mobilizing communities, resolving disputes, and protecting project infrastructure from vandalism. He affirmed that the Government deeply values the chieftaincy institution as a key partner in national development.
The Guest of Honour further congratulated the Member of Parliament, Honourable Sunday Chanda, the Kanchibiya Town Council leadership, the CDF Committee, contractors, and all community members who contributed labour, land, or ideas towards the realization of these projects.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Kanchibiya Constituency, Hon.
