UPND Luanshya District Successfully Conducts Intra-Party Elections Across All Wards and Constituencies
The United Party for National Development (UPND) – Luanshya District is pleased to announce the successful completion of its intra-party elections across all the 30 wards, both Roan and Luanshya Central Constituencies, and the District leadership structure.
The elections were conducted in a peaceful, transparent, and democratic environment. We recorded an impressive voter turnout, reflecting the confidence that members have in the Party's internal democratic processes. Notably, the majority of candidates went through unopposed, demonstrating unity, consensus-building, and strong confidence in the selected leadership across all levels.
We further extend our appreciation to the observers, election personnel, and the security wings—particularly the Zambia Police Service ( ZP )—for ensuring a calm, orderly, and secure environment throughout the electoral process. Special recognition also goes to Melbin Simangolwa and Nickline Phiri whose professionalism contributed greatly to the smooth and credible conduct of the elections.
We congratulate all elected and re-elected leaders, and encourage them to serve with integrity, unity, and dedication to the Party’s vision under the leadership of *Hakainde* *Hichilema* . We also thank all members for their discipline and active participation throughout the process.
UPND Luanshya District remains committed to strengthening party structures, enhancing mobilisation, and delivering development to the people of Luanshya.
