FELLOW CITIZENS,

I want to address, first and foremost, the serious allegations coming from Government that senior NRPUP members were arrested alongside a foreign militia linked to illegal military training camps.

I categorically reject these allegations. NRPUP has no militia. We do not support violence, nor do we support any attempt to overthrow the constitutional order of our country.

These are grave allegations with serious consequences for those named and for our country as a whole.

I therefore call upon Secretary to the Cabinet, Mr. Patrick Kangwa, to withdraw these allegations immediately.

If there are individuals accused of breaking the law, let them face the law and let the evidence be tested through due process.

Political allegations must never be allowed to become a substitute for evidence.

We stand for peace. We stand for Zambia. We will never support violence, intimidation, destruction of property or persecution of any Zambian because of how they voted.

Our country is bigger than any political party, candidate or election.

But let us also be clear: peace must never mean silence.

The 2026 election has raised serious concerns that must be addressed openly, transparently and within the law.

If there are complaints, let them be heard.
If there are discrepancies, let them be investigated.
If there are errors, let them be corrected.
And if the law has been broken, let the law take its course.

We will pursue every legitimate and constitutional avenue available to seek justice.

Our demand is simple:

LET THE WILL OF THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE BE RESPECTED.

My appeal to my supporters and to all Zambians is simple: remain calm and remain peaceful.

Do not take the law into your own hands.
Do not retaliate.
Do not attack those who voted differently from you.
Do not destroy property.

To our young people especially, I say this:

Do not allow yourselves to be used by politicians including myself to harm fellow Zambians.

Your future is far more important than any political contest.

Our political opponents are not our enemies. They are our fellow citizens.

Whether you come from Kasama, Livingstone, Mongu, Chipata, Solwezi or anywhere else in Zambia, we are one people.

We share one country. One destiny. One future.

Let us reject tribalism.
Let us reject hatred.
Let us reject political violence.

And to all public institutions, including the Police and the Electoral Commission of Zambia: you belong to the people of Zambia, not to political parties.

Serve the Zambian people impartially, without fear or favour.

We will remain peaceful, but we will not be silent.

We will pursue truth.
We will pursue justice.
We will defend our democracy through lawful means.

Remain calm. Remain vigilant. Remain Zambian.

ONE ZAMBIA. ONE NATION. ONE PEOPLE.

Fellow Zambians,

I am calling upon the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to immediately clarify the handling and custody of GEN 20 forms used in the presidential electoral process.

The integrity of our presidential election is at stake following information alleging that GEN 20 forms were collected from districts and may have been subjected to interference or alteration.

The ECZ must explain who authorised the collection of these GEN 20 forms and under which provision of the law the documents were moved.

The original GEN 20 forms must be preserved because they are critical to transparency, verification and any lawful challenge to discrepancies in the presidential results.

The ECZ must also provide a transparent explanation regarding the suspension of the announcement of results, what happened during that period, which officials had access to election materials, and whether any GEN 20 forms were moved.

I further demand clarification on allegations that intelligence or military officers were involved in collecting GEN 20 forms from town clerks. The ECZ must state clearly whether any military or intelligence personnel collected or had access to these forms.

There are also allegations that officials in Southern Province were pressured to modify figures, with some of the alleged communication said to have been made through local government structures. Similar allegations have been raised regarding officials in North-Western Province, who were allegedly directed to alter figures appearing on GEN 20 forms.

These allegations require urgent and independent investigation. We must protect the integrity of the electoral record and ensure that no election material is tampered with, altered, removed or destroyed.

All original GEN 20 forms and other election documents capable of establishing a clear audit trail must be preserved.

These remain allegations requiring urgent independent investigations. I call upon the ECZ, law enforcement agencies and all other stakeholders to take immediate steps to safeguard the integrity of the electoral record.

The people of Zambia deserve nothing less than a transparent, verifiable and credible presidential electoral process.

Urgent Public Statement: 15th August 2026

Good morning Provincial Coordinators, candidates and members of our team.

I am sure you might have received some disturbing information last night, all I can say is that we managed to survive the situation.

I want to use this opportunity to encourage all Provincial Coordinators to remain focused, organised and vigilant.

Our immediate task is to ensure that all GEN 20s from our respective areas are collected and submitted.

We have to stay ahead of the process and ensure that our information is complete and properly documented.

By the end of today, I expect us to have wrapped up this exercise and established a clear picture of our results.

If we fail to do so and allow disputed or alleged forged GEN 20s to be introduced into the process, we risk finding ourselves on the back foot.

That could ultimately turn the matter into a court dispute which would not be helpful to any of us.

I am therefore calling upon all candidates and Provincial Coordinators to work together urgently. Please ensure that the relevant GEN 20s are collected and submitted so that we can consolidate our information and keep ourselves properly updated.

Important Message

Fellow Zambians,

According to the results received and compiled through our Parallel Voter Tabulation (PVT), based on information transmitted to us from polling stations and totalling centres across the country, our tabulation indicates that we have won this election.

We therefore view the continued delay in the transparent announcement and verification of
the presidential results with grave concern.

The pattern of reports reaching us raises
legitimate fears that this delay could create an opportunity for interference with, or
manipulation of, the results. We call for the immediate publication of results in accordance
with the law and for all stakeholders to be given access to the relevant electoral records so that the will of the Zambian people can be independently verified.

We have received deeply troubling reports from several parts of the country which require urgent explanation by the Electoral Commission of Zambia and the relevant authorities.

In Mufulira, for example, we have received reports that members of the military have taken control of certain totalling centres and that Gen 20 forms are allegedly being removed.

These reports must be addressed immediately. Electoral materials are not the property of any political party, government official or security institution. They are part of the official record of the sovereign decision made by the Zambian people.

Presidential ballots are counted at polling-station level alongside the other elections, and
presidential results are therefore available to party agents through the prescribed electoral
documentation. It should consequently surprise no one that our agents and structures
have been able to obtain results from across the country and establish a clear trend
through our PVT.

We are equally concerned about reported incidents involving ballot boxes in Chawama and Matero constituencies. Any allegation of ballot boxes being unlawfully removed, stolen,
interfered with or transported outside established electoral procedures must be
investigated immediately and transparently.

Those responsible, if the allegations are
established, must be held accountable under the law.

In North-Western Province, we have received reports that returning officers and presiding
officers have been instructed to stop issuing results and Gen 20 forms. If confirmed, such
conduct would be wholly unacceptable. Election results belong to the people. Party agents and other persons entitled by law to receive electoral records must not be denied them.

In Northern Province, we have further received disturbing reports concerning the alleged
involvement of a senior government official in the movement of ballot boxes, including
allegations that officers transporting ballot boxes to a totalling centre have been instructed to pass through the official’s residence before proceeding to the designated centre. These allegations are extremely serious and demand immediate investigation. No ballot box should be diverted from the legally prescribed chain of custody.

I therefore call upon the Electoral Commission of Zambia to act decisively and transparently. Preserve every ballot box. Preserve every Gen 20 form and other electoral record. Protect the chain of custody. Allow accredited political-party agents and observers
to perform their lawful functions. Publish the results polling station by polling station and
constituency by constituency so that every figure announced can be reconciled against the original records.

I equally call upon our men and women in uniform to remember that their loyalty is to the
Constitution and the Republic of Zambia, not to any individual, political party or temporary
holder of public office. The institutions of the State must remain impartial. Their
responsibility at this critical moment is to protect the people, electoral officials and
electoral materials—not to interfere with the democratic process.

To our party agents, monitors, supporters and citizens across Zambia: remain peaceful,
vigilant and within the law. Protecting the vote does not mean engaging in violence or
confronting security personnel. It means documenting results, preserving copies of lawful electoral records, reporting irregularities through the appropriate channels and insisting
peacefully upon transparency.

To those administering this election, I say this: Zambia is bigger than all of us. Governments
come and go, but the Republic remains. No temporary political advantage is worth
damaging the institutions upon which our democracy depends.

If the official results differ from the results recorded at polling stations, the answer is not
secrecy. The answer is transparency. Put the records before the nation and allow every
number to be reconciled.

The people of Zambia voted. Their decision must be respected.

This is a moment for patriotism, restraint and courage. Let every Zambian who has been
entrusted with the people’s vote discharge that responsibility faithfully.

Let us be patriots. Let us protect the vote peacefully and lawfully. Let us defend the
sovereign will of the Zambian people.

One Zambia, One Nation.
