A big congratulations to Madam Daphne Soko Chabu on her well-earned appointment as Executive Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

We trust that under her leadership, the ACC will demonstrate the same unwavering enthusiasm in pursuing present corruption as it has in dealing with past corruption. After all, corruption is corruption—whether it happened yesterday or is happening today. And surely, “opposition corruption” must be treated with the same urgency as “party-in-government corruption.”

Zambians are watching, and we look forward to an ACC that serves the nation—not a political agenda. Best wishes, Madam ED!

Open Letter to President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND Leadership.

Re: Equitable Distribution of National Appointments.

I have noted the appointment of the new ZESCO Managing Director, along with many others in recent months. While these individuals may be well-qualified for their roles, leadership demands more than just merit—it requires equity, balance, and inclusivity.

President Hichilema and the UPND leadership, the mandate given to you was not just to govern but to unite the nation. What we are witnessing is deeply concerning. It is even more troubling when legitimate concerns about fairness are dismissed or criminalized. In opposition, you rightly condemned the previous administrations approach to appointments, yet today, the same concerns arise and worse than ever before.
Let me be clear—tribalism in any form is unacceptable. Zambia belongs to all its people, and every citizen, regardless of region or political affiliation, deserves to feel a sense of belonging in the governance of this nation. When appointments are concentrated in one section of the country, it breeds resentment and undermines our oneness.

I come from a different province and a different political party, but Zambia is home to us all. I want to celebrate appointments that reflect the full diversity of our nation, knowing that every region is valued and represented. Strength lies in inclusivity.

Please lead with fairness.

Please be inclusive.

Much love for you all and for Mother Zambia.
