PRESS STATEMENT
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
24/05/25
SIAVONGA
It has come to my attention that my name continues to be mentioned in ongoing political discussions and campaigns in Siavonga, including claims suggesting that I am supporting an independent candidate.
I would like to respectfully clarify that I am not involved in the current race, nor am I supporting any candidate outside the party structures.
As a loyal member of the UPND, I remain committed to the values, unity, and leadership of our great party under the Republican President, Hakainde Hichilema.
I believe that leadership and political engagement should be guided by respect, integrity, humility, and service to the people. It is therefore unfortunate and unnecessary for my name to continue being dragged into matters and campaigns that I am not part of, as this only shifts attention away from the important work of engaging and serving the people of Siavonga.
This is a time for all aspiring leaders to connect with the people directly, present their vision, and earn support through hard work, character, and genuine commitment to development.
Politics should unite us and strengthen our shared purpose as members of one party and one community.
I fully respect the decisions of the party and its leadership, and I remain grateful for the continued guidance and direction being provided by the President and the party at large.
My sincere appeal is for everyone to promote peace, maturity, respect, and unity as we move forward together for the development of Siavonga and our country.
Furthermore, I wish to make it clear that anyone who continues to falsely associate my name with political activities, endorsements, or campaigns without my consent risks facing legal action.
I will not hesitate to protect my name and reputation through the appropriate legal channels if necessary.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
