This Saturday, we had an opportunity to meet with new volunteers who will be mentors for our children in the PromisePath Program. The training was quite exciting, and all volunteers were willing to get involved in meeting with children of prisoners monthly for mentorship activities.

Thanks team!

The Prison Outreach Support team had the privilege of visiting Murewa Prison with the primary goal of introducing"The Prisoner’s Journey" program to a new class of inmates. The visit marked the beginning of a new phase of engagement, aiming to promote personal transformation, spiritual growth and rehabilitation among the participants. The team successfully introduced the program and laid the foundation for future sessions focused on equipping inmates with life-changing values and skills to support their journey toward reintegration and positive change.

About today:

What a day, well spent! The impact of pur programs in and outside prison is growing amazingly. Breaking the cycle of crime through reaching out to the Children of Prisoners, who are naturally exposed to difficult realities of life. In many cases, it is always the breadwinner who goes to prison, leaving the family vulnerable with children being the most affected by these severe effects of the justice system. These effects include dropping out of school, with some ending in the streets and taking drugs, some they are left with no option other than directly involved in criminal activities, creating high chances of them ending in prison as well.

We thank God for the partnership that we have with Prison Fellowship International, which, together, are assisting these children and ensuring that they continue with their education without being affected directly with the incarceration of their parents.

PromisePath is proving to be very instrumental in helping children realise their God-given abilities to change circumstances. today, it was interesting to see active participation of children in our mentorship group sessions. With children of Prisoners, tomorrow is not bright for them if we are not intentionally investing in these children. Who knows, the answer to today's question depends on these children.

After the mentorship sessions, children received some school materials, which was meant for the Back to School Event. All the children were very excited

We concluded the day with lunch, and it was an icing on top of a cake 🎂.

Overview

The *Promise Path* program operating under the umbrella of *Prison Outreach Support Zimbabwe (POSt)* recently hosted a transformative initiative titled *"Back to School."* The mentorship and counselling program was specifically tailored to support children whose parents are incarcerated, which is a group often overlooked yet significantly impacted by the effects of imprisonment. These vulnerable and innocent children frequently experience emotional distress, social stigma, financial instability, and disrupted education, all of which contribute to long-term psychological and behavioural challenges. With some end up in criminal activities, drugs, and in the streets. Our vision is to break the cycle of crime for community development.

Yes, you can join us and become part of this God's work.

The Prisoners Journey/TPJ Program has been quite instrumental in point Prisoners to their Chief Prisoner Jesus's Christ. The program was indeed a journey to discover Jesus as a fellow prisoner. We are celebrating the achievements as we are now having Zvishavane Prison as part of the 35 prison implementing the program. we are encouraged in every graduation to hear different testimonies of what the Lord is doing in the lives of those incarceration. One inmates in his testimony confirmed that he never had an opportunity to learn about the Word of God. He didn't know who Jesus was, why he came, and what to do with Him. Indeed, through the program, everything was answered and came as a Revelation.

Many thanks to our provincial coordinator, Chiedza, who is covering us by coordinating all the activities in that Province.

This is about our trip to Chipinge for Prison Ministry work! We visited Mandikisi Prison in Chipinge. Wow! What an experience! We were graduating inmates who participated in The Prisoners Journey (TPJ) a Program designed to help inmates discover their fellow prisoner Jesus Christ. Amazing to hear powerful testimonies from both inmates and Prison Officers. God is doing amazing to His people regardless of their situation. One inmate in his testimony said that he is now sure that he is in prison for a purpose. He said, God wants me to come to the full knowledge of Him as a result of his imprisonment. And the amazing thing is to discover their fellow prisoner Jesus Christ! He said I was in prison......and the question is what did you do to Jesus while He was in prison. May God help the Church to discover who Jesus is, His mission on earth and what to do with that fact.

Lastly, the Team was blessed by beautiful songs and dances. One of our Volunteer was very excited and he said, it is nice to ne here and let us build our tents here.

On our way back it was raining dog and cats and we were stuck in the middle of nowhere, the bridge was overflowing with very violent water in the river.

2024 Angel Tree/Christmas Party Events has started off with Manicaland Province in Rusape. This year's Event is aiming to introduce Children of inmates to the knowledge of God's love to His people regardless of the predicaments they find themselves in. It was quite amazing to see and discover that the Gospel has no age limit and children can also respond to it. Well done to the Team that worked tirelessly to the success of the event. Many thanks to our Coordinator Rev Wellington Makuya for mobilizing Children to be able to make it to the event.

Let me take this opportunity to express our gratitude towards our All-weather Partner Meckles Foundation for donating the food items used for the event. May God bless you!

Harare and Mutoko Event is coming soon and I am inviting you to partner with us in any way possible as we can together put a smile to these vulnerable children during this Christmas period. YES indeed you can and your partnership will contribute towards our effort to break the cycle and its effects in our difference societies!

Last but not least, let me take this opportunity to thank Prison Fellowship International for their financial and spiritual support.
