CLEAN-UP CAMPAIGN HELD AT MZIMBA SHOPPING CENTRE

The Municipality of Chinhoyi, in partnership with the Environmental Management Agency (EMA), Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) students and Mzimba Shopping Centre shop owners, held a clean-up campaign at Mzimba Shopping Centre.
The initiative highlights the importance of community participation in keeping Chinhoyi clean, healthy and environmentally friendly.

The Municipality continues to encourage residents, businesses and other stakeholders to take an active role in maintaining clean public spaces, in line with its vision of a Smart City of Choice by 2030.

MUNICIPALITY OF CHINHOYI TAKES ANTI-CORRUPTION PLEDGE

The Municipality of Chinhoyi today reaffirmed its commitment to fighting corruption by undertaking an Anti-Corruption Pledge, strengthening its commitment to good governance, transparency, accountability and integrity.

His Worship the Mayor, Cllr O. Charuza, the Deputy Mayor, Aldermen, Councillors and Staff took their pledges which were administered by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) Mashonaland West Provincial Officers.

The pledge underscores the importance of responsible and ethical service delivery, supporting the Municipality’s efforts to promote growth, prosperity and inclusive development.

Through upholding these principles, the Municipality continues to work towards achieving a Smart City of Choice by 2030.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
His Worship The Mayor of Chinhoyi Cllr O Charuza,Town Clerk Mr B Tasarira and his Management team held an interactive session with Officer Commanding Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services Mashonaland West Province Commisioner, L.Makuvire and his team at Chinhoyi Remand Prison.
The interaction took the teams to the tour of the Prison Farm Commercial Gardern and Provincial Cold Room and Warehouse Facilities.

PARLIAMENTARY PORTFOLIO COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT ENGAGES MUNICIPALITY OF CHINHOYI.

The Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Transport and Infrastructure Development, led by chairman Hon Karikoga, engaged the Municipality of Chinhoyi over the weekend during verification on utilisation of the Road Fund, commonly referred to as ZINARA FUND, and fuel allocations for Infrastructure maintenance.

The committee, which eventually toured some roads maintenance projects undertaken by the Municipality also interrogated the reporting system and acquittal of public funds in light of NDS 2
