CHIEF NEMANGWE INSTALLS HEADMAN NDLALAMBI INTO OFFICE
On Friday, 15 May 2026, hundreds of people from different areas gathered at Nyaradza Secondary School in Gokwe South District for the installation ceremony of Headman Ndlalambi, an event that brought great joy to the local community.
Headman Ndlalambi, who falls under the jurisdiction of Chief Nemangwe, was officially appointed by the Government of Zimbabwe on 11 December 2025. Mr. Mapilisi Moyo was installed as the Headman of the Ndlalambi area.
The Guest of Honour, the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Midlands Province, Cde Honourable Owen Ncube, who was ably represented by the Director of Local Government, Cde Charlton Murove, explained to the gathering the procedures involved in the appointment of traditional leaders.
Cde C. Murove stated that after consultations and approval by both the Ndlalambi family and the Nemangwe royal family, the Ndlalambi family was officially granted the headmanship by the Minister of Local Government and Public Works on 11 December 2025.
The installation ceremony was attended by various Government departments, the ruling ZANU PF leadership, War Veterans, Youth leaders, all councillors from Gokwe South District, headmen, village heads, school children, and members of the public from different communities.
