International Equal Pay Day is observed on September 18 each year. This day serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for equal pay for work of equal value, particularly highlighting the disparities that exist between men and women in the workforce. The observance aims to raise awareness about the gender pay gap, which is estimated to be around 20% globally, meaning that women are paid, on average, significantly less than their male counterparts for similar work.

In accordance with the goals of the intercultural project "The Routes of Enslaved Peoples", it should offer an opportunity for collective consideration of the historic causes, the methods and the consequences of this tragedy, and for an analysis of the interactions to which it has given rise between Africa, Europe, the Americas and the Caribbean.

Flashback to our empowering journey in Zimbabwe's breathtaking Mutare!

We're still in awe of God's magnificent creation as we reflect on our visit to Mutasa DC and Marange community. The mountainous landscapes and vibrant culture left us speechless! But what touched our hearts most was the opportunity to empower the incredible women of Mutare. We had the privilege of sharing knowledge, skills, and inspiration with them, and we're thrilled to see the impact it's had on their lives.

"Conducting Community Needs Assessment!"

As a Means Testing Team, we facilitated a community engagement session in Hatcliffe, employing participatory methods to gather qualitative data through in-depth interviews with both men and women. This empowering process enabled us to identify the community's strengths, challenges and unmet needs, informing our understanding of their social and economic circumstances. This assessment will guide our targeted interventions ensuring our support services are tailored to address the community's specific requirements, promoting sustainable development and social change.

"Empowering Communities Together!"

As the Chiedza Chenyika Organisation team, we recently visited the Hatcliffe community engaging with men and women to understand their needs and identify ways to support them economically and socially.

We met an inspiring individual who shared his challenges and asked for our help. We're committed to making a positive impact in his life and we invite you to join us in this journey!

Together, let's work towards creating a brighter future for this community. Your support and assistance can help us bring about meaningful change.
