This morning the General Secretary Rev Dr Mtata and Ecumenical Liaison Officer Rev Samuel Sifelani presided over the commissioning service of 9 pastors who are part of the Bulawayo Provincial Psycho Social Support team at the Bulawayo regional office. Bishop Khanye the ZCC president graced the occasion.

The team was challenged to emulate the ministry of Jesus Christ and the early, which was characterized by compassion, care, and presence. The task at hand will require much prayer and grounding in the word of God. Of the 9 pastors, 2 are ladies.

COVID-19 Support to critical public institutions

The ZCC Team led by Mr Oxwell Madara and Patrick Mazipo is currently in Mwenezi District handing over Water Buckets and Handwashing soap. These are being distributed to public institutions such including:
1. Zimbabwe Republic Police - Mwenezi
2. Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services Mwenezi and
3. Mwenezi District Hospital

These institutions receive an average of more than 100 people per day thereby making them high risk areas hence the need to ensure that they are well capacitated.

These were officially handed over at the Mwenezi Rural District Council Head Office in the presence of the District Development Coordinator, Village Heads and many other critical stakeholders who are joining hands to raise awareness in the fight against COVID-19.
