Team Zimbabwe came 4th in the medals ranking at the AUSC Region 5 Youth Games after South Africa, Zambia and Angola. 84 medals will land in Zimbabwe of which 12 are Gold, 24 are Silver and 48 are Bronze. For Gold Medals, SA had 61, Zambia 17 and Angola 17. Zimbabwe earned the most Bronze Medals at the sports jamboree. With Zimbabwe's support, the youngsters are destined for greater heights. The future is great.
They came, played, conquered and broke records!!! It was a 6/6 gold medal tally for Zimbabwe tennis team, a first in the tournament's history. Volleyball boys team sent South Africa to the cleaners, winning the gold medal becoming the first Zimbabwean volleyball team to win gold at an AUSC Region 5 sports extravaganza. The future is bright.
. Linnete Zemba got a Gold Medal at the on going AUSC Region 5 Youth Games in Lilongwe and qualified for Africa Games 2023. Netball girls added Bronze Medal to Team Zimbabwe's Medal tally. And, a whitewash is brewing in tennis, watch this space. Go Zimbabwe Go!!!

Team Zimbabwe roars!! Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation and the Sports and Recreation Commission held a send off ceremony for Team Zimbabwe at Harare Institute of Technology today. The contigent of over 250 athletes and officials is set to compete at the 10th edition of the AUSC Region 5 Under 20 Youth Games set for Malawi, Lilongwe from 2-12 December 2022. Our Deputy Minister, Hon Tino Machakaire today made a surprise visit at Bolten Records Studio in Dzivarasekwa Extension . He spent some hours with upcoming artists at the studio. He indeed met the Kuwadzana Ghetto youths who are into music.He gave an ear to the grievances of upcoming ghetto musicians/artists. The artists requested the Government to come up with a platform where they can manage to showcase as well as sell their music for their competitive advantage and that of the nation at large. They also requested for some funds to upgrade Bolten Records Studio. The studio is indeed trying to empower the youths through music, taking them away from drugs. The Deputy Minister,Hon Tino Machakaire promised the Kuwadzana artists that the Government will find a way to help them. He made it clear that, the new dispensation is ever quenching to empower the young people enganging in various meaningful activities be it in music, agriculture, mining among other developmental endevours.
