Luanda - The Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, said Wednesday in Luanda that the national independence was conqured by the Angolan people with sweat and sacrifice, through a hard and very brave struggle.
The President said so in his address to the Nation, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the national independence, being celebrated today in the country.
“In fact, it was not easy, we did not get the independence on a silver plate,” he stated.
José Eduardo dos Santos made a brief historical presentation of the Angolan people during the Portuguese colonial occupation, as well as the géneses of the Angolan resistance and nationalism. http://angolaembassyzim.com/
