Even though he’s been in the news constantly for the last
year, there’s a lot we don’t know about the Libyan leader.
Here are some amazing facts about Muammar Gaddafi:
1. He shares a birthday (June 7) with Dean Martin, Tom
Jones, Prince, Bill Hader, and Allen Iverson.
2. His first car was a 1958 Ford Thunderbird hardtop. He
now owns a large collection of classic Thunderbirds,
including a 1960 hardtop/sunroof model with the 430
engine, of which only 377 were produced.
3. As per his decree, Libyan TV has a channel that
repeatedly plays only his favorite movie, The
Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th
Dimension .
4. Prior to the US Embargo, his favorite town to vacation
in was Rochester, New York, largely because Gaddafi is
a great admirer of Millard Fillmore.
5. Every year on September 1, he celebrates the
anniversary of his coup by eating an entire squid for
lunch and drinking a cup of Turkish coffee for each
year he has been in office. These lunches are
broadcast nationwide on the Al Nadi Sports Channel.
6. Gaddafi often uses the various spellings of his name to
his advantage. For example, he has been known to
join the Columbia House record club up to 32 times at
once.
7. In addition to Arabic, French, and English, Gaddafi was
at one time studying Klingon, and announced in 1991
his eventual plan to translate the Green Book into the
constructed language.
8. His favorite WWE wrestler is Joanie “Chyna” Laurer.
9. His parents made him play the alto saxophone in
junior high school. As a result, he has banned music
programs in all Libyan public schools.
10. He applied and was accepted to a graduate program in
atmospheric sciences at Howard University in
Washington, DC, but did not attend.
11. A long-time fan of Lionel Richie, he admitted during an
interview with Larry King that he listened to the album
Can’t Slow Down daily for almost two years after its
release in 1983, but was initially disappointed with
Dancing on the Ceiling , because he preferred the
album’s original proposed title, Say You, Say Me.
12. His score on the GRE in 1967 was 505 verbal / 485
math.
13. Aside from the Green Book, his favorite books include
The Bridges of Madison County by Robert James
Waller, The Gospel According to the Son by Norman
Mailer, and You’ll Never Eat Lunch in this Town Again
by Julia Phillips.
14. He often bought and sold collector beanie babies on
eBay with the username “gandalf69″ until the US State
Department discovered it and shut down his account.
He is rumored to have amassed a collection of over
500,000 of them in a storage facility on the outskirts
of Tripoli. Beanie babies purchased from him that can
be verified are exceedingly rare and have sold for four
and five figures on the secondary market.
15. There is a Libyan law that prohibits anyone but
Gaddafi from playing as Colonel Mustard in the Parker
Brothers board game Clue . In Arabic translations of
the game, Colonel Mustard’s turn is first instead of
second.
16. His favorite classic video game is Q-Bert. He owns a
restored coin-op version and his high score is
492,000.
17. His customized Airbus A340 jet, which was captured
last month in Tripoli, contained a collection of all 41
Steven Seagal movies.
18. Gaddafi refuses to fly over any country with exactly
two vowels in its name that ends in a consonant. He
also avoids flying on Tuesdays, never eats fish when
traveling on ship, and will always travel with an even
number of bags.
19. He was long-time friends with Gary Coleman, and was
devastated after his death. He is still convinced that
Coleman was murdered by Mossad agents.
20. He bowled a perfect 300 on the night of his birthday in
1976. It was during official IBA league play, and he is
often seen wearing his official 300 ring.

“Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph.”

I'm not sure why I have never felt the GREAT NEED to seek out my "roots" and prove my "Africaness" to the world. As early as I can remember as a youth I always felt like an African (nobody had to tell me that) and the way I dress, the language I speak and the way I live never caused me to feel any less or more than African! I observed a lot (secretly) and asked a lot of questions but that was life..for me that's what living really is- learning. So all the reading and observation I did growing up didn't feel like searching to me...it felt more like I was discovering things that I was literally created to know - acquiring knowledge I was meant to have.
One thing I learn in this life is that race is just our physical identity and we shouldn't over spend our time trying to convince everybody that our physical appearance sets us higher than the remainder of humanity. because humanity is a greater force than any one race or group. Watch this now....Supremacy, racism and division has no end once you feed life to it in your everyday life- it can go on and on and on. So first you are BLACK and you are greater than all other race then you are AFRICAN and there is no greater continent then you are NIGERIAN and now you are better than every other african then you are from the Ibo tribe and that sets you higher than all other Nigerians then.....you are better than your own brother.
Africa is I an I. However it is my duty to love and care for the whole earth and all of humanity.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM AN MDC-T GOVERNMENT IN POWER

For those who are sick and tired of a “dictatorship and one-man rule”, for those who are genuinely desperate for change, for democratic change, these are some of the things to expect from an MDC-T government, among many others

Men will be allowed to marry other men
Women will be allowed to marry other women
Pregnant women will be allowed to abort at will, with the possibility of the setting up of abortion clinics being high
Gays will be allowed to do “Gay Pride” marches and carnivals wherever they choose to in our country, with the possibility of them being accorded official recognition through a public holiday
The possibility of condoms and other contraceptives being distributed in all schools throughout the country is very high
The possibility of public and private TV stations being set up and licensed in Zimbabwe to beam both soft and hardcore pornography is very high
Everyone will be allowed to do whatever they want and feel like doing, as long as it does not cause physical harm to others.
The right and ability to speak out against homosexuality, same sex marriages and other immoral acts as sins against God may be taken away
This is the stark reality of what democracy to the MDC-T means. You vote them into power at your own peril. Do not say that you were never warned. More details to follow.

Why Study African History
We study African history and culture because…
1. Self-knowledge is the basis (foundation) of self-identity and self-respect.
2. It establishes uniqueness and specialness. For example, Black people were the first people in the world, and gave birth to all other people. They created the first and some of the most profound civilizations in the world. No other races or ethnic groups can make these claims.
3. It should answer 3 basic questions: Who are we? Where are we? and What time is it for us?
4. It is the source for understanding society and the world. It explains current thought and behavior.
5. It is a corrective to myths and lies (e.g. Columbus "discovered" America, or the Greeks "invented" democracy, philosophy, and science).
6. It is a source of examples to follow.
7. It establishes human capacity, potentials, and possibilities. For example, Black people created pyramids, established the first laws and peaceful societies, organized religions/spiritual systems, created mathematics and advanced medical procedures, etc.
8. It identifies friends and enemies. It distinguishes between family and foe.

All people have their own culture. But when you remove that culture from them, you kill them. You kill a very large part of them.Wangari Maatha.
The cruelest thing slavery and colonialism did to theAfricans was to destroy their memory of what they were before foreign contact.J.Clarke
Do not follow the path of religion as it is your oppressors' way of keeping you subjugated while you tell yourself you are free.
Notice how all conquering nations spread their religions replacing whatever was there before.
"Until we break the monopoly the oppressor has on our minds, liberation is not only impossible it is unthinkable.

False religion is the greatest form of oppression, but true religion is the greatest expression of freedom. G-d created all that exist... And the greatest gift to man is his mind. Always seek out the truth and you will find G-d, eventually. Religion is to guide mankind, our conscious guides man. Without religious guidance, we are just a step above any other animal. Just because there are false religions dominating the world, doesn't mean religion is not needed. Be a seeker of truth. Peace be with you

The greatest joy for a man is to defeat his enemies, to drive them before him, to take from them all they possess, to see those they love in tears, to ride their horses, and to hold their wives and daughters in his arms.
BREAKING THE SILENCE: Fulfilling the Promise

Amura Onaa tells us that when our Ancestors were being torn apart from each other, we looked into each other's eyes and made a solemn promise.

We promised to reconnect with each other so that this
tearing apart would never happen again.

It is the Afrikan belief that we are our Ancestors reborn, and through this spiritual rebirth, we gain eternal life.

The promise could only be fulfilled by future generations returning as Afrikans who had made this sacred promise to each other.

What our Ancestors suffered over centuries, could only have been survived because they had hope.

But what could possibly have given them cause for hope?

If they had not survived and bore children who bore children who bore children, we would not be here.

It is the Afrikan belief that we choose to be born when we are in the spirit world, and that we make a contract to fulfill a purpose in this life.

All of this can only mean that we have chosen to be born Afrikan and that we are the hope of our Ancestors.

Our purpose on this earth is to achieve the victory, It is our choice to fulfill The Promise to our ancestors by achieving the victory denied them.

Those of us who are blazing the way to enlighten our people everywhere, are at times very much annoyed and discouraged by acts of our own people. They do so many things to hurt our feelings of loyalty, and love for the race, but what can we do? Can we forsake them because they hurt our feelings, surely not. Painful though it may be, we must be sympathetic and we must be forgiving. So when that ignorant fellow who happens to be a member of our race, stands up to block some cause that will benefit our people, you will be able to overlook him-----MARCUS GARVEY (from the Philosophy and Opinions of Marcus Garvey)

ATTITUDE: Heavy rains remind us of challenges in life. Never ask for lighter rain...just pray for a better umbrella that ir attitude**.
When flood comes, fish eat ants & when flood recedes, ants eat fish.. Only time matters...just hold on God gives an opportunity to everyone***.
Often when we lose all hope and think this is the end, God smiles from above and says : 'relax dear its just a bend..not the end'***.
When you feel sad, to cheer up just go to the mirror and say "Damn I am so cute" and u will overcome your sadness. But do not make this a habit because liars go to hell.

Every problem has ( n+ 1 ) solutions, where n is the number of solutions that you have tried and 1 is that which you have not tried..that's life.***.

"Berlin of 1884 was effected through the sword and the bullet. But the night of the sword and the bullet was followed by the morning of the chalk and the blackboard. The physical violence of the battlefield was followed by the psychological violence of the classroom.

In my view language was the most important vehicle through which that power fascinated and held the soul prisoner. The bullet was the means of the physical subjugation. Language was the means of the spiritual subjugation.

In the colonial education system, which advanced by qualifying exams, nobody could pass the exam who failed the English language paper no matter how brilliantly he had done in the other subjects. English was the official vehicle and the magic formula to colonial elitism.

I do not want to see ZIMBABWEAN children growing up in that imperialist-imposed tradition of contempt for the tools of communication developed by their communities and their history. I want them to transcend colonial alienation."

Nothing will end war unless the people themselves refuse to go to war.Albert Einstein
Tell the soldiers of the rich that profit from war, tell them about the weapons contracts, tell them about the children that will die.
Those who deceive young men by selling war as an adventure are cruel monsters.
Those who profit from war are the enemies of the human race, and we cannot allow them to continue to lead our children to the slaughter.
The people must take over the infrastructure of the military and use the technology, the energy, for human good.
The people must take over the military and use its resources for education, enlightenment and healthcare.
There is not a military system in this world that does not thrive on and crave death.
The military system is based on destruction, murder, the reincarnation of mass human death.
The military machine is the most inhumane machine on the face of this planet.

If you dont like what you see, change the channel. You dont report Broadcast stations for broadcasting filth. You dont report radio stations, for playing filth. Why should the internet be any different? Because now, we can broadcast our OWN views. The minute we gain the ability to do this, they add a report button! This proves that the media is a brainwashing tool. You can shut down OUR views, but, we are forced to swallow propaganda bullsh*t all day on t.v. And the radio. Say No to the "Report Button!"
Insults and profanity!! What can be more insulting and profane as global slavery and genocide!! If you too weak to handle this, then don't comment. Unlike T.V., your dealing with real people who suffer real pain, With real emotions.
