ZRP Kutama re-launched the Police Client Service Charter at Mabvure Primary School on 04/08/26. The event was attended by various community members who include Chief Zvimba, other traditional leaders, business people, teachers and school Children.

The ZRP is appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of two suspects linked to unlawful dealing in dangerous drugs following a raid at a house along Oragon Road, Newton West, Bulawayo by detectives from CID Drugs and Narcotics, Bulawayo, on 02 /08/2026. Detectives recovered 36 cobs of dagga weighing approximately 30 kg, 58 boxes (50 x 100 ml each) of Broncleer Cough Syrup and 447 loose 100 ml bottles of Broncleer Cough Syrup. The suspects fled from the scene, abandoning a white Honda Vezel, registration number AHG 5315, which has since been impounded by the police. Anyone with information that may assist in the arrest of the suspects is urged to report at any nearest Police Station or contact the National Complaints Desk on (0242) 703631 or WhatsApp 0712 800 197.

The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on 02/08/2026 at around 1350 hours along Samora Machel Avenue at the Showgrounds pedestrian crossing point in Harare. A Toyota Aqua struck two pedestrians who were crossing at the designated pedestrian crossing. One pedestrian (40) died upon admission at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, while the second pedestrian (33) sustained injuries and is admitted at the same hospital. The ZRP urges motorists to exercise extreme caution, keep a proper lookout, reduce speed when approaching pedestrian crossings and always give way to pedestrians. Pedestrians are also encouraged to remain vigilant and ensure it is safe to cross roads, even when using designated crossing points. The ZRP will ensure the law takes its course on drivers who fail to observe and respect the tenets of road safety at designated pedestrian crossing points.

On 02/08/26, Police in Harare acted on received information and arrested Joseph Nyamadzawo (24) at Budiriro Five Shopping Centre for unlawful possession of dagga and Broncleer Cough Syrup.

Police in Harare are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a fatal hit and run road traffic accident which occurred on 02/08/26 along Mutoko Road, before Shamva turn- off on 02/08/26 at around 1100 hours. A man (32) died on the spot after being hit by an unknown motorist who did not stop after the accident. Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station.

The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on 30/07/2026 at around 1400 hours at the 16 km peg along the Karoi–Binga Road. Two female passengers succumbed to injuries, while nine other passengers sustained injuries when a silver Toyota Hiace vehicle, registration number AGG 2763, carrying eleven passengers, overturned after the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle. The injured passengers were taken to Karoi District Hospital for treatment, with two of the victims who sustained serious injuries being transferred to Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital for further medical treatment.
