Consumer Council of Zimbabwe (CCZ) CEO Rosemary Mpofu says CCZ is observing and receiving consumer complaints relating to food safety risks in the marketplace including expired products on shelves; poor storage conditions; and inadequate hygiene in food handling environments. Mpofu said there is a need to strengthen systems, enforcement, and promote consumer awareness.
