MARS a fleet of road ambulances spread throughout Zimbabwe, and ideally positioned to service not only the domestic market, but the Southern and Central African region as well. The company employs over 200 highly qualified professionals including doctors, nurses, ambulance technicians and medical dispatchers. The MARS Training school is accredited to the Southern African Resuscitation Council and affiliated to the American Heart Association. The school is also registered with the Ministry of Health through the Allied Health Practioners Council (AHPC). MARS offers international certificates, re-certification courses and ACLS, BLS, customized courses as well as a combination of certain courses. To date MARS has trained over 15 000 people in emergency care through these courses and we are confident that the knowledge of emergency care passed by MARS has made a difference to the lives of many.

A proud moment for a connected ecosystem.

We’re honoured to have been part of the award-winning stand recognised with the Supreme Zimbabwean Exhibit Award (Best Overall Stand) at alongside the broader Econet ecosystem.

For MARS, this recognition reflects more than exhibition excellence, it speaks to the power of integrated thinking, collaboration and innovation brought to life in one shared space.

Within a stand inspired by Connected Economies, Competitive Industries, we had the opportunity to contribute to a broader story: one where emergency response, healthcare innovation, digital enablement and ecosystem partnerships are not viewed in silos, but as interconnected drivers of impact.

Since 1991, MARS has continued to evolve with strategic intent, broadening from emergency medical response into a more integrated healthcare offering spanning rescue services, training, maternity services, laboratory services and pharmacy support.

We were honoured to host the Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Hon. Tatenda Mavetera, and Econet Deputy CEO Mr Roy Chimanikire at the MARS stand.

The engagement created valuable space to discuss the evolving role of emergency medical services within a broader integrated healthcare ecosystem and how innovation, connectivity, training and preparedness can contribute to stronger, more responsive systems.

The conversations reflected a broader shift in perspective: from viewing emergency response as a standalone service, to understanding its role within a connected healthcare ecosystem that increasingly brings together mobility, technology-enabled care, skills development and integrated service delivery.

It was also an opportunity to share MARS’ ongoing evolution from its emergency response foundations into a broader healthcare model that now spans rescue services, training, maternity, laboratory and pharmacy services, guided by a vision of integrated care.

But behind the look is meaning.

At first glance, the MARS mark carries the familiar cross association long connected with medical care, response and reassurance. A symbol widely recognised for help when it matters.

Look a little closer though, and you’ll see something more.
Our cross is formed from a series of thumbs up, a simple but powerful signal that says all is okay, help is here, you’re in good hands. 👍
