Last week, the Ruwa Council technical team was engaged in preparations for the 2027 budget. The team met in Ruwa to develop a draft 2027 budget that will guide the Council’s planning and service delivery priorities.

The Council is expected to commence the 2027 budget consultation process in September 2026. During this process, residents and various stakeholders will be engaged to provide their views, input and priorities.

The consultations will provide an important opportunity for the community and stakeholders to participate in shaping the Council’s 2027 budget and ensuring that it responds to the needs and priorities of Ruwa residents.

It was an honour to attend the celebration of International Youth Day 2026. The programme was organised by the Ministry of Youth and Boost, bringing together young people and stakeholders to celebrate the invaluable contribution of youth to our communities and nation.

The event was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the potential, resilience and creativity of young people, while reaffirming the importance of creating opportunities for them to thrive, lead and make a meaningful impact.
