The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology concluded its participation in China International Industry Fair 2026 in Shanghai, led by HE Hasan Jasim Al Nowais, Undersecretary, following meetings and site visits with more than 15 leading companies in robotics, smart automation and advanced manufacturing.

The visit focused on building advanced industries and growing local manufacturing and technology capabilities through partnerships that bring technology development and deployment to UAE factories, improve productivity, localise expertise and supply chains, and attract new industrial investment.

Building on the Ministry’s recent visit to Japan, these efforts support Factory Forward UAE and Make it in the Emirates, connecting UAE manufacturers with global technology leaders to turn international partnerships into tangible industrial projects and strengthen the competitiveness of UAE industry.

اختتمت وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة مشاركتها في معرض الصين الدولي للصناعة 2026 في شنغهاي، بقيادة سعادة حسن جاسم النويس، وكيل الوزارة، بعد اجتماعات وزيارات ميدانية مع أكثر من 15 شركة رائدة في الروبوتات والأتمتة الذكية والتصنيع المتقدم، ضمن جهودها لبناء صناعات متقدمة وتطوير القدرات الصناعية والتكنولوجية في دولة الإمارات.

وركزت الزيارة على بناء شراكات لنقل التكنولوجيا وتطويرها وتطبيقها في المصانع الإماراتية، ورفع الإنتاجية، وتوطين الخبرات وسلاسل الإمداد، واستقطاب استثمارات صناعية جديدة.

وتأتي هذه الجهود استكمالاً لزيارة الوزارة إلى اليابان، ومن خلال مبادرتي «مصانع الغد الإماراتية» و«اصنع في الإمارات»، لربط المصنعين الإماراتيين بشركات التكنولوجيا العالمية، وتحويل الشراكات الدولية إلى مشاريع صناعية ملموسة تدعم نمو الصناعة الوطنية وتنافسيتها.

⁨ نحو مشاركة وطنية فاعلة في أعمال الدستور الغذائي الدولي (CODEX)
نظّمت وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة، بالتعاون مع مجموعة مصنّعي الأغذية والمشروبات في دولة الإمارات (F&B)، ورشة عمل متخصصة حول «الدستور الغذائي الدولي (CODEX) وآلية إعداد الردود الوطنية»، وذلك يومي 14 و15 أكتوبر 2026، بمشاركة ممثلين عن الجهات الحكومية والقطاع الخاص والقطاع الصناعي والمؤسسات الأكاديمية.
وهدفت الورشة إلى تعزيز القدرات الوطنية في مراجعة وثائق الدستور الغذائي الدولي وإعداد الردود الوطنية، وتطوير آليات التنسيق بين الجهات المعنية، بما يسهم في تعزيز مشاركة دولة الإمارات الفاعلة في إعداد المواصفات الغذائية الدولية.

Strengthening National Participation in Codex Alimentarius (CODEX) Activities
The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, in collaboration with the UAE Food and Beverage Manufacturers Group (F&B), organized a specialized workshop on “Codex Alimentarius (CODEX) and the Preparation of National Responses” on 14–15 October 2026, bringing together representatives from government entities, the private sector, industry, and academia.
The workshop aimed to strengthen national capabilities in reviewing Codex documents, preparing coordinated national responses, and enhancing collaboration among relevant stakeholders, thereby supporting the UAE’s active participation in the development of international food standards.⁩

⁨ ‎في خطوة رائدة تعكس تطوّر الصناعات الغذائية الوطنية، أصبحت مزرعة “فلي” للطيور الداجنة، إحدى شركات مؤسسة الشارقة للإنتاج الزراعي والحيواني “اكتفاء”، أول مزرعة في دولة الإمارات تحصل على “علامة الرعي الحر” من وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة.
في إنجاز يجسّد التزام الشركة بمتطلبات الإنتاج المعتمدة، ويقدّم نموذجاً رائداً للارتقاء بالممارسات الإنتاجية، وتعزيز جودة وتنافسية المنتجات الغذائية الإماراتية.



Marking a significant milestone for the UAE’s food industry, ‘Fili Poultry’, a company under the Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment (EKTIFA), has become the first farm in the UAE to receive the ‘Free-Range Mark’ from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.
This achievement reflects the company’s commitment to approved production requirements and sets an example for advancing production practices, improving quality and enhancing the competitiveness of UAE-made food products.

⁨ تُعد الصناعات الغذائية إحدى الصناعات ذات الأولوية الوطنية، وتواصل وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة جهودها لدعم منظومة الجودة من خلال “علامة الرعي الحر”، التي تتيح التحقق من استيفاء المنتجات الحاصلة عليها للمتطلبات والمواصفات المعتمدة ذات الصلة.
في خطوة تدعم تطوير الممارسات الإنتاجية، وتعزّز تنافسية المنتجات الإماراتية وحضورها في الأسواق المحلية والعالمية.



The food industry is one of the UAE’s national priority sectors. The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology continues to strengthen the national quality infrastructure through the ‘Free-Range Mark’, which verifies that products bearing the mark meet the relevant approved requirements and standards.
This initiative supports improved production practices while enhancing the competitiveness of UAE-made products and strengthening their presence in local and international markets.

⁨ تواصل وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة جهودها لتحويل الشراكات الصناعية الدولية إلى فرص استثمارية وتصنيعية ملموسة في دولة الإمارات.

وضمن زيارة وفد الوزارة إلى الصين ومشاركته في معرض الصين الدولي للصناعة 2026 في شنغهاي، زار الوفد برئاسة سعادة حسن جاسم النويس، وكيل الوزارة، مصنع شركة «روكس موتورز» في الصين، التي افتتحت هذا العام منشأة متقدمة لتصنيع المركبات في «كيزاد» بأبوظبي، وبدأت إنتاج المركبات محلياً، في خطوة تدعو للفخر وتعكس ثقة الشركات العالمية بقدرات دولة الإمارات ومكانتها قاعدةً للتصنيع والتوسع نحو الأسواق الدولية.

وشملت الزيارات أيضاً شركتي «كوماك» و«أجيبوت»، لبحث فرص التعاون الصناعي والتكنولوجي وتطوير شراكات جديدة مع القطاع الصناعي الإماراتي.

وتدعم هذه الزيارات مستهدفات مبادرتي «مصانع الغد الإماراتية» و«اصنع في الإمارات»، لتعزيز التصنيع المتقدم وتنافسية الصناعة الوطنية.

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology continues to translate international industrial partnerships into tangible manufacturing and investment opportunities in the UAE.

As part of the Ministry’s visit to China and participation in the China International Industry Fair 2026 in Shanghai, the delegation led by HE Hasan Jasim Al Nowais, Undersecretary, visited ROX Motors’ factory in China. The company opened its advanced vehicle manufacturing facility in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi, earlier this year, beginning local vehicle production. This is a milestone to be proud of, reflecting the confidence of global manufacturers in the UAE’s industrial capabilities and its position as a base for production and expansion into international markets.

The delegation also visited COMAC and AGIBOT to explore opportunities for industrial and technology cooperation and new partnerships with UAE manufacturers.

These visits support Factory Forward UAE and Make it in the Emirates, advancing manufacturing capabilities and UAE industrial competitiveness.⁩

واصل وفد دولة الإمارات برئاسة سعادة حسن جاسم النويس، وكيل وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة، لقاءاته في معرض الصين الدولي للصناعة 2026 في شنغهاي، وزار شركة «إيه بي بي روبوتيكس» لبحث فرص تطبيق تقنيات الروبوتات والأتمتة في المصانع الإماراتية، ضمن جهود الوزارة لربط الصناعة الوطنية برواد التكنولوجيا عالمياً ورفع تنافسيتها.


The UAE delegation led by HE Hasan Jasim Al Nowais, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, continued its engagements at the China International Industry Fair 2026 in Shanghai and visited ABB Robotics to explore advanced automation solutions for UAE factories, supporting the Ministry’s efforts to connect national industry with global technology leaders and strengthen competitiveness.

وخلال مشاركة دولة الإمارات في معرض الصين الدولي للصناعة 2026 في شنغهاي، ترأس سعادة حسن جاسم النويس، وكيل الوزارة، وفداً ضم ممثلين عن مكتب أبوظبي للاستثمار، ومبادلة، ومصرف الإمارات للتنمية، وهيئة مناطق رأس الخيمة الاقتصادية «راكز»، والإمارات العالمية للألمنيوم، ومجموعة «إيدج»، وشركة «الدار».

وشملت الزيارة اجتماعات مع شركات رائدة وجولات ميدانية لبحث فرص تطوير تقنيات الروبوتات والأتمتة والتصنيع الذكي وتجريبها في المصانع الإماراتية، واستكشاف شراكات صناعية واستثمارية تدعم توطين الصناعات وتطوير الكفاءات الوطنية.

وتدعم هذه الجهود مستهدفات مبادرتي «مصانع الغد الإماراتية» و«اصنع في الإمارات»، لتسريع تبني التكنولوجيا المتقدمة وجذب الاستثمارات الصناعية وتعزيز تنافسية الصناعة الوطنية.

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology continues to build international industrial and technology partnerships focused on bringing advanced technologies into UAE factories, improving productivity, quality and industrial competitiveness.

At the China International Industry Fair 2026 in Shanghai, HE Hasan Jasim Al Nowais, Undersecretary of MoIAT, led a UAE delegation comprising representatives from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Mubadala, Emirates Development Bank, Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), Emirates Global Aluminium, EDGE Group and Aldar.

The visit included meetings with leading companies and site visits to explore opportunities to develop and test robotics, automation and smart manufacturing technologies in UAE factories, alongside industrial and investment partnerships that support local manufacturing and national talent development.

These efforts advance Factory Forward UAE and Make it in the Emirates by accelerating technology adoption, attracting industrial investment and strengthening UAE industrial competitiveness.
