🇦🇪🥋 UAE Pencak Silat Prepares for WPSC Tashkent 2026, Building on the Legacy of WPSC Abu Dhabi 2024

The UAE Pencak Silat Committee held a meeting, chaired by H.E. Saeed Ali Alajil, President of the UAE Sports for All Federation (UAE SFAF) and Chairman of the UAE Pencak Silat Committee (Dubai, 26/8/2026).

The meeting, attended by Committee Members Muhammad Sadri, R. Kusuma Pradopo, Tetriani Wirasmini, and Wirradiah Binte Abdul Latiff, discussed preparations for the UAE contingent to compete in the Senior and Junior World Pencak Silat Championships (WPSC) in Tashkent, December 2026.

The preparations build on the UAE’s legacy as host of WPSC Abu Dhabi 2024, where UAE athletes won several medals and one athlete was named Best Junior Athlete.

The Pencak Silat Ambassador Cup in Abu Dhabi in late October 2026 will support athlete development and selection, while training programmes and promotion in UAE schools will continue to be strengthened.

With the support of UAE SFAF, the UAE Pencak Silat team is ready to carry the spirit and momentum of Abu Dhabi 2024 into Tashkent 2026.

🇦🇪🥋 البنجاك سيلات الإماراتي يستعد لبطولة العالم في طشقند 2026، مواصلاً إرث بطولة أبوظبي 2024

عقدت لجنة البنجاك سيلات الإماراتية اجتماعاً في دبي بتاريخ 26 أغسطس 2026، برئاسة سعادة سعيد علي العاجل، رئيس اتحاد الإمارات للرياضة للجميع ورئيس لجنة البنجاك سيلات الإماراتية.

وناقش الاجتماع، بمشاركة أعضاء اللجنة محمد صدري، ور. كوسوما برادوبو، وتيترياني ويراسميني، وويرادياه بنت عبد اللطيف، استعدادات وفد دولة الإمارات للمشاركة في بطولتي العالم للبنجاك سيلات للكبار والناشئين في طشقند خلال ديسمبر 2026.

وتواصل هذه الاستعدادات إرث الإمارات بصفتها مستضيف بطولة العالم في أبوظبي عام 2024، حيث حقق لاعبو الإمارات عدداً من الميداليات، ونال أحدهم لقب أفضل لاعب ناشئ.

كما ستسهم بطولة «كأس سفير البنجاك سيلات» في أبوظبي أواخر أكتوبر 2026 في تطوير واختيار الرياضيين، بالتوازي مع تعزيز برامج التدريب والتعريف برياضة البنجاك سيلات في مدارس الإمارات.

☕🇦🇪 Indonesian Coffee Connects UAE Businesses to Trade Expo Indonesia 2026

Indonesian coffee is more than a distinctive product—it can also open doors to wider trade, investment, and business collaboration between Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates.

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Abu Dhabi organized “Indonesia Coffee Business: Road to Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026” on 27 August 2026, bringing together representatives of the Emirates Entrepreneurs Association (EEA), importers, business leaders, and relevant stakeholders from both countries.

The discussion explored Indonesia’s growing potential in the UAE market, including trade developments and market opportunities presented by ITPC Dubai; the potential of Indonesia’s skilled workforce highlighted by the Labour Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Abu Dhabi; importers’ experiences in developing businesses through Indonesian products; and trade and business financing support from BSI Dubai.

As part of the Road to TEI 2026, the event connected Indonesia’s business potential with UAE business networks, expanded market access, and opened new opportunities for business matching and mutually beneficial partnerships.

✨ Trade Expo Indonesia 2026 is expected to serve as a strategic platform for UAE businesses to discover Indonesia’s diverse products, services, and investment opportunities, while further strengthening Indonesia–UAE economic relations as both countries celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations. 🇮🇩🤝🇦🇪

🇮🇩🇦🇪 FROM STANDARDS TO MARKET ACCESS: INDONESIA AND THE UAE STRENGTHEN HALAL INDUSTRY COOPERATION

The halal industry goes beyond certification—it supports trade, expands market access, and creates new business opportunities. Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Judha Nugraha discussed stronger cooperation with H.E. Dr. Farah Al Zarooni, Assistant Undersecretary for Standardization Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, in Dubai (27/08/26).

The meeting covered halal industry development, standardization, trade, and market access. Ambassador Judha also invited the UAE to participate in Halal Indo 2026, to be held on 24–27 September at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

Closer collaboration among governments, businesses, and industry stakeholders is expected to unlock new opportunities and strengthen the Indonesia–UAE economic partnership as both countries mark 50 years of diplomatic relations.

تتجاوز صناعة الحلال مفهوم إصدار الشهادات، إذ تسهم في دعم التجارة وتعزيز النفاذ إلى الأسواق وخلق فرص جديدة للأعمال. وفي هذا الإطار، بحث سفير جمهورية إندونيسيا لدى دولة الإمارات، جودا نوغراها، سبل تعزيز التعاون مع سعادة الدكتورة فرح الزرعوني، وكيل الوزارة المساعد لشؤون التقييس في وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة، في دبي (27/08/26).

وتناول اللقاء تطوير صناعة الحلال والتقييس والتجارة والنفاذ إلى الأسواق. كما دعا السفير جودا دولة الإمارات إلى المشاركة في معرض «حلال إندو 2026»، المقرر تنظيمه من 24 إلى 27 سبتمبر في مركز ICE BSD بمدينة تانغيرانغ.

UAE Pencak Silat Heads to the World Stage 🇲🇨🇦🇪

H.E. Saeed Ali Alajil, President of UAE SFAF and Chairman of the UAE Pencak Silat Committee, met in Dubai with Board Members Muhammad Sadri, R. Kusuma Pradopo, Tetriani Wirasmini, and Wiradiah Binte Abdul Latiff (26/08/2026).

The meeting discussed preparations for the UAE contingent to compete in the Senior and Junior World Championships in Tashkent this December, continuing Abu Dhabi’s legacy as host of the 2024 World Championship.

The Ambassador Cup in Abu Dhabi in late October will support athlete development and selection, alongside training and school outreach.

With UAE SFAF’s support, the team is preparing to bring the UAE back to international sporting success. 🇦🇪🥋

🇮🇩🇦🇪 Strengthening Indonesia–UAE Diplomatic Cooperation and Strategic Networks

Marking 50 years of diplomatic relations, Indonesia and the UAE continue to deepen diplomatic and institutional cooperation.

On 25 August 2026 in Abu Dhabi, Ambassador Judha Nugraha met with H.E. Dr. Mohammed Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director General of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA), accompanied by Embassy officials and the Director of IIPC Abu Dhabi.

The meeting explored stronger institutional ties and think tank-to-think tank dialogue to exchange perspectives, experiences, and policy ideas on shared interests.

The initiative is expected to expand networks among diplomats, academics, practitioners, and research institutions, while supporting more substantive and future-oriented cooperation.

Indonesia and the UAE continue to strengthen institutional ties by exploring broader legal cooperation.

Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE H.E. Judha Nugraha met with H.E. Counsellor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, Attorney-General of the UAE, at the Office of the Attorney-General and Federal Public Prosecution in Abu Dhabi on 20 August 2026.

The meeting addressed legal cooperation, issues of mutual interest, and ways to further develop and expand cooperation. Ambassador Judha thanked the UAE Attorney-General for the warm reception and praised the strong cooperation and steady development of Indonesia–UAE relations across various fields. He also wished both countries and their peoples continued progress and prosperity.

🌙🇮🇩🇦🇪 *Mawlid Celebration in Al Khazna: Ambassador Judha Nugraha Invited to Deliver Remarks*

From Al Khazna, Indonesian Ambassador Judha Nugraha conveyed a message on the exemplary values of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), brotherhood, and friendship among nations during a solemn commemoration of the *Mawlid of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)* on Monday evening (24/8/2026).

On this special occasion, Ambassador Judha was honoured to deliver remarks before a distinguished gathering of scholars, government officials, community and tribal leaders, as well as guests from various countries.

The Mawlid gathering was held at the Majlis of *Al Sayyid Ali bin Abdulrahman Al Hashimi*, a prominent Islamic scholar and *Advisor for Judicial and Religious Affairs at the Presidential Court of the UAE*.

In his remarks, Ambassador Judha encouraged the audience to continue drawing inspiration from the noble values exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), particularly compassion, brotherhood, and mutual respect, as important foundations for building harmonious relations among communities, nations, and countries.

Ambassador Judha also offered prayers for the well-being of the leaders of Indonesia and the UAE, as well as for the continued strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. 🇮🇩🤝🇦🇪

The spirit of togetherness was further reflected by the presence of *Pastor Bishoy Fakhry of St. Anthony’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral, Abu Dhabi*, alongside leaders from different communities. His presence highlighted the values of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and fraternity that are an important part of life in the UAE.

The Mawlid commemoration serves as a reminder that the exemplary values of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) can strengthen not only bonds among people, but also friendship, understanding, and peace among nations.
