In its latest thought-leadership paper authored by Prof. Dr. Christoph Kreiterling, the ADGMA Research Centre explores a new perspective on quantum’s role in the industry.
Rather than viewing quantum purely as a cybersecurity challenge, the paper highlights its potential to reshape how financial markets operate, particularly in areas such as optimisation, simulation and risk modelling. As these capabilities evolve, they could fundamentally change what is economically and technically feasible across market design and decision-making.
In the near term, the shift will be gradual and experimental, driven by hybrid approaches and defined by how institutions build governance frameworks, benchmark progress, and develop the right skillsets.
