A moment suspended between movement, courage and consequence.

In *Olé*, UAE-based Cuban artist Geolbel Rodríguez Torres captures the charged atmosphere of a traditional Spanish bullfight. Seen from behind, the matador stands at the centre of the composition, facing the bull as an impassioned crowd fills the arena with colour, gesture and emotion.

Fluid watercolour washes create a vibrant sense of movement, while expressive penwork brings definition and energy to the figures. The contrast between the matador’s poised stance, the bull’s force and the crowd’s euphoria transforms the scene into a dramatic study of spectacle, tension and a life-or-death encounter.

Created with pen over watercolour on cardstock, this 27 × 38 cm artwork reflects Geolbel’s practice of combining classical influences with contemporary experimentation.

When the Earth bleeds, can beauty remain untouched?

In *Blood on Earth*, Qatar-based Bangladeshi artist Radoan Rony transforms a dense field of flowers into a powerful reflection on war, violence and the fragility of human life.

Created through thousands of meticulously placed dots using Micron pens, the composition is dominated by intricate monochrome detail. Against it, vivid red spreads across selected flowers like an open wound—symbolising the bloodshed that reaches into every corner of our shared world.

Here, the flowers represent Earth, innocence and humanity. Their beauty remains visible, yet permanently marked by conflict. The result is both visually captivating and deeply unsettling: a quiet plea to value the sacredness of life over destruction.

Where does one moment end—and the next begin?

In *Eternal Flow*, 13-year-old Dubai-based artist Dhruti Shah explores the continuous cycle of creation, change and renewal. At the heart of the composition, a sweeping infinity-inspired form draws the eye through layers of movement, suggesting that every ending carries the possibility of a new beginning.

Bold reds and radiant yellows collide with calming blues and deep indigos, creating a dynamic balance between energy and stillness. Expressive brushstrokes and flowing colour give the painting a powerful sense of motion—reflecting resilience, transformation and life’s endless possibilities.

Created in acrylic on canvas, this 60 × 90 cm artwork showcases the vibrant visual language of a young artist whose work has already been exhibited internationally.

What if the artist you are today is an echo of who you once were?

In *Echoes of an Ancient Self*, UAE-based Filipino artist Jinn Reyes imagines herself creating in another lifetime—seated in a quiet studio, dressed in traditional clothing and immersed in the timeless ritual of painting by hand.

The deep, subdued colours and old-world atmosphere reflect Jinn’s fascination with antique and medieval art. More than a portrait, the work becomes a meeting point between past and present: a glimpse of the artist she might have been, brought to life through her own contemporary vision.

Created in acrylic with varnish, this 40 × 50 cm artwork celebrates the enduring connection between identity, history and artistic expression.

A celebration of colour, culture and expressive tradition.

In *Kathakali*, young artist Abhinav Menon Mullath captures the unmistakable visual identity of Kerala’s celebrated classical dance-drama. The vibrant green face, elaborate headpiece and bold decorative details reflect the theatrical character of Kathakali—a tradition known for transforming stories from Indian epics into powerful visual performances.

Created with acrylic on canvas, this 40 × 50 cm artwork demonstrates Abhinav’s eye for intricate patterns, strong colour contrasts and cultural storytelling.

A Grade 11 student in Dubai, Abhinav began exploring art at the age of four and continues to develop his creativity through painting, pencil drawing and doodle art.
