The Honourable Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, visited Dubai on 20 February 2024 and had meetings with the following dignitaries of the United Arab Emirates:

โขH.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group
The following officials also called on the Hon. Prime Minister in Dubai:

The meetings were all very cordial and discussions aimed at strengthening the bilateral and trade ties between Mauritius and the United Arab Emirates and also delved into possible areas of collaboration with a view to sustaining the development of our country.
The fields of interest which were discussed by the Hon. Prime Minister included security (collaboration at the level of the Police), surveillance of our EEZ, the maritime sector, airport, aviation, renewable energy and AI amongst others. The transportation of Mauritian Pilgrims for Hajj was also evoked.
The Hon. Prime Minister raised the possibility for an early signature of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Mauritius and the UAE, negotiations of which were concluded in December 2023 in Mauritius.
The Hon. Prime Minister was accompanied by Mr. Premode Neerunjun, Secretary to Cabinet and Head of the Civil Service, H.E. Showkutally Soodhun G.C.S.K., Ambassador of Mauritius to the UAE and GCC, Mr. Kavish Pultoo, Senior Adviser in Communication and Strategic Matters of the Hon Prime Minister, and Mr. Pravass Purmanund, First Secretary, at the meetings.
