أبرز لحظات حفل تدشين أعمال بناء المنشأة الهندسية الجديدة لطيران الإمارات في دبي الجنوب، بحضور سمو الشيخ أحمد بن سعيد آل مكتوم، الرئيس الأعلى والرئيس التنفيذي لطيران الإمارات والمجموعة، وداي هيغن، رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة بناء السكك الحديدية الصينية.

يقام هذا المجمع على مساحة تعادل 155 ملعب كرة قدم، وبإجمالي 1.1 مليون متر مربع، ليصبح عند اكتماله في منتصف عام 2030 الأكبر في العالم في مجال الصيانة والإصلاح والعمرة من حيث الحجم.

Highlights from the groundbreaking ceremony of Emirates’ new engineering facility at Dubai South, attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, and Dai Hegen, Chairman of China Railway Construction Corporation.

The complex will span an area equivalent to 155 football pitches, covering a total of 1.1 million square metres. Upon completion in mid-2030, it will become the world’s largest MRO facility in terms of size.

استقبل سعادة خليفة الزفين، الرئيس التنفيذي لمؤسسة مدينة دبي للطيران ودبي الجنوب، وفدًا من شركة بناء السكك الحديدية الصينية برئاسة داي هيغن، رئيس مجلس الإدارة، وبحضور نبيل الكندي، المدير التنفيذي لدبي الجنوب، وطحنون سيف، المدير التنفيذي لمشروع محمد بن راشد للطيران، ومحسن أحمد، المدير التنفيذي للمنطقة اللوجستية في دبي الجنوب.
اطّلع الوفد خلال الزيارة على أبرز المشاريع والمرافق المتطورة في دبي الجنوب، إلى جانب الخطط التوسعية المستقبلية التي تدعم مكانة الإمارة كمركز عالمي رائد في مجالات الطيران، والخدمات اللوجستية، والتنمية الحضرية المتكاملة. كما شهد اللقاء بحث فرص التعاون وتبادل الخبرات بما يسهم في دعم التنمية المستدامة وتعزيز الشراكات الإستراتيجية بين الجانبين.

H.E. Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, welcomed a delegation from China Railway Construction Corporation, led by its Chairman Dai Hegen, in the presence of Nabil Al Kindi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Dubai South; Tahnoon Saif, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub; and Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of the Logistics District at Dubai South.
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to Dubai South’s key developments, advanced infrastructure and future expansion plans, which continue to strengthen Dubai’s position as a leading global hub for aviation, logistics and integrated urban development. The meeting also explored opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange to support sustainable development and enhance strategic partnerships between both sides.
