Ethiopia–Dubai Business Relations Continue to Strengthen

H.E. Mr. Zerihun Megersa Jima, Consul General of the Federal Democratic Republic of in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, met with H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, at Dubai Chambers to discuss ways of further strengthening trade, investment, and business cooperation between and .

During the meeting the Consul General expressed his appreciation for H.E. Mr. Lootah’s leadership and Dubai Chambers’ important role in spearheading the successful Ethiopia–Dubai Business Forum recently held in Addis Ababa. Building on the outcomes of the Forum, he also shared feedback on the engagement and briefed on preparations for the upcoming Dubai-Addis Ababa Business Forum, organized scheduled to take place in Dubai in the month of November.

For his part, H.E. Mr. Lootah welcomed the continued engagement and highlighted the growing volume of trade between Dubai and Ethiopia. Against this encouraging backdrop, he reaffirmed Dubai Chambers’ readiness to further strengthen business-to-business connections, facilitate greater private-sector engagement, and support the exploration of new opportunities for expanding trade and investment cooperation.

Looking ahead both sides underscored the importance of maintaining close institutional collaboration, sustaining the momentum generated by recent engagements, and working together to further advance Ethiopia–Dubai economic relations.

የኢትዮዽያዉያን ዜጎች የቪዛ ጉዳይን በሚመለከት ከዱባይ ስደተኞች እና ነዋሪዎች ጉዳይ ዋና መምሪያ (GDRFA) ኃላፊ ጋር ዉይይት ተካሄደ።

በዱባይና እና ሰሜን ኤምሬቶች የኢ.ፌ.ዲ.ሪ. ቆንስል ጄኔራል ክቡር አቶ ዘሪሁን መገርሳ ከዱባይ የስደተኞች እና ነዋሪዎች ጉዳይ ዋና መምሪያ (GDRFA) ዋና ሃላፊ ክቡር ሌተናል ጄኔራል መሐመድ አሕመድ አል ማሪ (Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri) ጋር ተወያዩ።

በዉይይቱ ወቅት ክቡር ቆንስል ጄኔራሉ በኢትዮዽያ እና በተባበሩት አረብ ኤምሬቶች መሪዎች መካከል ያለዉን ወንድማዊ ግንኙነት በሚያንጸባርቅ መልኩ ዱባይ ለኢትዮዽያዉያን ዜጎች ሁለተኛ ቤታቸዉ መሆኗን ጠቅሰዉ፣ ለዜጎች መብት መከበር እየተደረገ ለሚገኘዉ ድጋፍ ምስጋና አቅርበዋል።

ከዚሁ ጋር በተያያዘ በስራ ፍለጋ በጉብኝት ቪዛ ወደ የተባበሩት ዐረብ ኤምሬቶች ገብተዉ ወደ ስራ ቪዛ ለመቀየር በሂደት ላይ የሚገኙ እና የስራ አይነት ለመቀየር ቪዛቸውን ሰርዘው በፖሊስ ክሊራንስ መዘግየት ምክንያት የOverstay ቅጣት ውስጥ የገቡ ዜጎችን ጉዳይ አንስተዋል። ለእነዚህ ዜጎች የገንዘብ ቅጣቱ እንዲነሳ እና ቪዛቸውን ማስተካከል እንዲችሉ ድጋፍ እንዲደረግ ኃላፊውን ጠይቀዋል።

የዱባይ የስደተኞች እና ነዋሪዎች ጉዳይ ዋና መምሪያ (GDRFA) ዋና ኃላፊ ክቡር ሌተናል ጄኔራል መሐመድ አሕመድ አል ማሪ (Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri) በበኩላቸዉ ኢትዮዽያ የተባበሩት አረብ ኤምሬቶች አጋር አገር መሆኗን ጠቅሰዉ፣ የቪዛ ጉዳይን በሚመለከት ኢትዮዽያዉያን ዜጎችን ተጠቃሚ ለማድረግ አስፈላጊውን ጥረት እና ድጋፍ እንደሚያደርጉ ገልጸዉ፣ ዜጎችም የአገሪቱን የኢሚግሬሽን ሕግ አክብረው እንዲኖሩ ጠቁመዋል።

በመጨረሻም በኢሚግሬሽን መስክ በትብብር መስራት ለመቀጠል የጋራ መግባባት ላይ የተደረሰ ሲሆን፣ ዋና ሃላፊዉ እና ቆንስል ጄኔራሉ የዱባይ ኢሚግሬሽን ጽ/ቤት ቀልጣፉ አሰራርን ተዘዋዉረዉ ጎብኝተዋል።

የተባበሩት ዐረብ ኤምሬቶች መንግስት የመውሊድ በዓልን ምክንያት በማድረግ ኦገስት 28 ቀን 2026 የመንግስት ተቋማት ዝግ እንደሚሆኑ በማሳወቁ ምክንያት፣ ቆንስላ ጄኔራል ጽ/ቤቱ መደበኛ አገልግሎት የማይሰጥ መሆኑን እያሳወቅን፣ አገልግሎቱ ሰኞ ኦገስት 31 ቀን 2026 እንደሚቀጥል እንገልጻለን።

Following the declaration by the Government of the United Arab Emirates of August 28, 2026, as an official public holiday on the occasion of Mawlid Al Nabawi, the Consulate General will be closed for all consular services on Friday, August 28, 2026. Regular consular services will resume on Monday, August 31, 2026.

የአሸንዳ በዓል በተባበሩት ዐረብ ኤምሬቶች በዱባይ ከተማ በደመቀ ሁኔታ ተከበረ፤

የ2018 ዓ.ም የአሸንዳ በዓል በተባበሩት ዐረብ ኤምሬቶች የትግራይ ክልል ተወላጆች ማህበር፣ በዱባይና ሰሜን ኤምሬቶች የኢ.ፌ.ዲ.ሪ. ቆንስላ ጄኔራል ጽ/ቤት እና በኢትዮጵያ ኮሚኒቲ ማህበር በጋራ አዘጋጅነት ነሐሴ 16 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም. በዱባይ ሸራተን ሆቴል በደመቀ ሁኔታ ተከበሯል፡፡

በበዓሉ ላይ የኢ.ፌ.ዲ.ሪ. ቆንስል ጄኔራል ክቡር አቶ ዘሪሁን መገርሳ፣ ዲፕሎማቶች፣ የኢትዮጵያ ኮሚኒቲ ማህበር የሥራ አመራር ቦርድ አባላት፣ የተለያዩ አደረጃጀቶች ተወካዮች፣ የትግራይ ክልል ተወላጆች ማህበር አመራሮች እና በተባበሩት ዐረብ ኤምሬቶች የሚኖሩ በርካታ የትግራይ ክልል ተወላጆች ታድመዋል፡፡

በመርሃ ግብሩ ላይ ክቡር ቆንስል ጄኔራል አቶ ዘሪሁን መገርሳ ባስተላለፉት መልዕክት አሸንዳ ከተወደዱትና ከደመቁት ባህላዊ በዓላቶቻችን አንዱ መሆኑንና ሴቶች በነጻነት ደምቀው፣ አምረውና አጊጠው የሚያከብሩት ልዩ የአገራችን በዓል ነው ብለዋል። አክለውም አሸንዳ፡ የሰላም፣ የፍቅር እና የዕርቅ መግለጫ ሆኖ ለዘመናት የቆየ ባህላዊ ትሩፋት በመሆኑ፣ በዓሉን በዚህ መልኩ ስናከብር አንድነታችንና አጋርነታችንን ለማጠናከር መሆን እንደሚገባ አጽንኦት ሰጥተዋል፡፡
በመጨረሻም በተባበሩት ዐረብ ኤምሬቶች የሚገኙ የትግራይ ክልል ተወላጆች ማህበር አመራሮች በዓሉን በደመቀ ሁኔታ ለማዘጋጀት ኃላፊነት በመውሰድ ከቆንስላ ጽ/ቤታችን እና የኢትዮጵያ ኮሚኒቲ ማህበር ሥራ አመራር ቦርድ ጋራ በትብብር በመስራታቸዉ አመሰግነዋል፡፡

በመቀጠልም በዱባይ እና ሰሜን ኤምሬቶች የኢትዮጵያ ኮሚኒቲ ማህበር የሥራ አመራር ቦርድ ተወካይ ኢንጅነር አብዱላህ ጅሩ ባስተላለፉት መልዕከት አሸንዳ የሰላም፣ የዕርቅ፣የፍቅር እና የአጋርነት መገለጫ ሆኖ በሰሜኑ የአገራችን ክፍል የሚከበር በዓል መሆኑን ገልጸዋል፡፡ በዓሉ በዱባይ ከተማ በዚህ መልኩ እንዲከበር የኢትዮጵያ ኮሚኒቲ ማህበር የበኩሉን አስተዋጽኦ ማድረጉን በመግለጽ፣ በቀጣይም የትግራይ ክልል ተወላጆች ማህበር እንዲጠናከር ኮሚኒቲ ማህበሩ የተቻለውን ድጋፍ እንደሚያደርግ ገልጸዋል፡፡

በመጨረሻም በተባበሩት ዐረብ ኤምሬቶች የትግራይ ክልል ተወላጆች ማህበር ፕሬዚዳንት እንጂነር ፍስሃ ገብረእግዚአብሄር ባደረጉት ንግግር በዓሉን በዚህ በደመቀ ሁኔታ እንዲከበር የቆንስላ ጽ/ቤት እና የኢትዮጵያ ኮሚኒቲ ማህበር ለሰጡት አጋርነተ በማመስገን፣ በበዓሉ ላይ ለተሳተፉ ሁሉ በማህበሩ ስም የምስጋና መልዕክት አስተላልፈዋል፡፡

በዓሉ ከአገር ቤት በመጡ የክልሉ ተወላጅ አርቲስቶች እና በተለይም የአሸንዳ በዓል ዋነኛ ባለቤት በሆኑት ሴቶች ባህላዊ ዜማዎች በደመቀ ሁኔታ ተከብሯል፡፡

እንኳን ለመውሊድ በዓል በሰላም አደረሳችሁ እያልን፣ በዓሉን በማስመልከት ቆንስላ ጽ/ቤታችን ነገ ነሀሴ 19 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም (ኦገስት 25 ቀን 2026) መደበኛ አገልግሎት የማይሰጥ መሆኑን እየገለጽን መደበኛ አገልግሎቱ ረቡዕ ነሀሴ 20 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም የሚቀጥል መሆኑን እናሳውቃለን፡፡

H.E. Mr. Zerihun Megersa Jima, Consul General of the Federal Democratic Republic of in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, visited SAMA TEEBA Food Complex in Umm Al Quwain and discussed with Mr. Talib Salih Hammadi, Founder and Managing Director of SAMA TEEBA Group over the Group’s interest in investing in Ethiopia, particularly in the livestock, meat processing and broader food sector.

The Consul General thanked Mr. Talib for the warm welcome and appreciated the Group’s interest in Ethiopia. He briefed the company on Ethiopia’s evolving investment and business landscape, highlighting the opportunities emerging from the country’s ongoing economic reforms, abundant livestock resources and expanding domestic and regional markets.

Mr. Talib highlighted the Group’s experience and its employment of Ethiopians across skilled, semi-skilled and various operational roles. He expressed the Group’s interest in expanding its meat production and processing activities to Ethiopia, building on the country’s strong livestock base and investment potential.

The Consul General welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed the Consulate General’s commitment to facilitating the Group’s engagement with relevant Ethiopian institutions and supporting the advancement of its investment plans.
