OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL MALTESE NATIONALS IN THE UAE
Following last night's escalatory events in the region, the Consulate General of Malta in Dubai in coordination with the Embassy of Malta in the United Arab Emiratesremains attentive to ongoing developments, and advises Maltese Nationals to remain vigilant and exercise caution at all times.
Recommended Actions:
🔴 Ensure that your Malta passport is valid for over 6 months at any point in time. If it is not, please contact the Embassy or Consulate General for renewal.
🔴 Keep sufficient supplies of food, water, medicinals, and other essential items always available, in proportion to your family size.

🔴 Sign up to receive official information from official sources only.
🔴 If an Alerts and Warnings issued by the local authorities on your mobile phone, pay attention, give priority and take shelter immediately.
🔴 Always remain aware of your surroundings.
🔴 Avoid areas around security and/or military facilities and/or Oil & Gas installations in the UAE.
🔴 Keep your travel plans under review and ensure your travel documents are valid and up to date.
🔴 Be prepared to adjust your plans including your travel plans according to evolving circumstances.
🔴 Keep your phone charged and maintain communication with family and friends to inform them of your status. Keep chargers safe and at hand.
🔴 NEVER photograph, nor film, nor share any footage showing any sort of military activity. Such actions including sharing misinformation and disinformation are liable to prosecution, hefty fines and imprisonment in the UAE.
