Hey, I’m Tiffany! (Also known as Chief Z)

I’m the eldest daughter. I’m extremely passionate, goofy (around those I’m comfortable with), I wear my heart on my sleeve, I sometimes care too much, and I’m very direct. I also care deeply about mental, emotional, and physical health. I love working out, being outdoors, and taking on new physical challenges.

I’m proudly a SERE Specialist in the United States Air Force. My beret is pewter green, and yes, it signifies my job. No, I’m not too young to be a Chief. I’ll be 40 in two months. Yes, those are Static Line and Military Freefall Jumpmaster badges that I earned at Army jump schools. I was also a qualified Air Force Test Parachutist. I’ve been in the military for 19 years. No, I’m not retiring anytime soon.

No, this is not AI. Yes, the picture is inverted because it was taken with the selfie camera.

Yes, I wear makeup in uniform. Yes, it’s within regulations. Yes, my face is very glowy. I get it from my mama and by taking care of my skin, which is probably why so many of you think I’m too young to be a Chief.

A goal I had before turning 40 was to reconnect with some of the people who have meant so much to me over the years.

Being in the military, you meet so many incredible people along your journey, and one of the hardest parts is leaving them behind as you start a new chapter. The beautiful thing is that some relationships never skip a beat. We can go years without talking and pick up right where we left off.

These women have each played a unique role in my life over the past 9–14 years, and I hope they’ll continue to be part of my life for many more years to come!

Thank you to each of you for being a bright light in my life in your own unique way. I’m so grateful this journey brought us together, and I’ll always be cheering you on wherever life takes you ♥️

Back in June, the Air Force rolled out the Performance Objectives and Feedback Form (AF Form 717), replacing the Airman Comprehensive Assessment. This is now the required form for all formal feedback sessions.

So, what’s changed? The new form is built around the four Major Performance Areas: Executing the Mission, Leading People, Managing Resources, and Improving the Unit. It also places a bigger emphasis on communication, with a dedicated “Getting to Know You” section to encourage conversations about your professional and personal goals.

Another key addition is the Ratee Expectations section, which gives Airmen the opportunity to tell their supervisor what they need to succeed. The goal is to make feedback a two-way conversation that focuses on growth, development, and setting clear expectations instead of just checking a box.
