في عام 1974، التقط المصوّر الصحفي الفرنسي جاك بورلو صورةً للوالد المؤسس، المغفور له الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، طيّب الله ثراه، خلال إحدى زياراته في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.

صورةٌ محفوظة اليوم ضمن مقتنيات متحف زايد الوطني في أبوظبي، لا باعتبارها أثراً بصرياً فحسب، بل بوصفها شاهداً على مرحلةٍ كانت تُبنى فيها أسس الدولة و تصاغُ ملامحُها. وفي العام ذاته، لم تكن الفجيرة خارج هذا المشهد.

في هذه الحلقة، نغادر إطار الصورة ونتجه إلى قرية حبحب في إمارة الفجيرة، حيث لا تزال الذاكرة حيّة. هناك، تعود الحلقة إلى تفاصيل الزيارة التاريخية، حيث يروي السيد سيف علي راشد عبدالله الحمودي أين جلس الشيخ زايد، وكيف استقبله الأهالي، وما الذي ما زالت تحفظه ذاكرة المكان.

لم تكن زيارة عابرة، بل حكاية حضور — حضور قائدٍ كان يرى في كل منطقة ركناً في المشروع الوطني، ومساراً نحو مستقبلٍ تُصان فيه قيمة الإنسان والمكان.

In 1974, the French photojournalist Jack Burlot captured a photograph of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan during one of his visits within the United Arab Emirates.

Today, the image is preserved among the collection of Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, not merely as a visual record, but as a testament to a time when the foundations of the nation were being built and its identity taking shape.

In this episode, we step beyond the frame of the photograph and travel to Habhab village in the Emirate of Fujairah.

It was not a passing visit, but a story of presence, the presence of a leader who saw every region as a pillar of the national vision and a path toward a future where the value of people and place is preserved.

في محلٍ صغيرٍ تتكدّس فيه الأشياء كما الذكريات، يحكي لنا السيد "حيدر ف*ج حيدري" من إيران و المقيم في إمارة الفجيرة عن مقتنياتٍ لم تُجمع للتجارة فقط، بل لتبقى شاهدة على زمنٍ كان الرزق يُقاس فيه بالنية قبل الحساب.
هنا، في محل "حيدري"، هذا الركن الذي يعرفه أهل الفجيرة، لا يُباع السامان فقط، بل تُصان ذاكرة مكان، ذاكرة تعرف الوجوه، وتعرف القصص، وتعرف كيف تُدار البركة.. عمراً كاملاً قضاه "حيدر" منذ السبعينات واقفاً في هذا المحل، يخدم الناس، ويكبر معهم.. أحبّ الفجيرة واعتبرها بلاده التي حطَّ فيها القلب و العمر.

In a small shop where objects pile up like memories, Haider F***j Haidari, originally from Iran and a resident of the Emirate of Fujairah, tells us about belongings that were not gathered merely for trade, but to remain witnesses to a time when livelihood was measured by intention before profit.

Here, in Haidari’s shop—a corner well known to the people of Fujairah—more than goods are exchanged. The memory of a place is preserved; a memory that knows faces, remembers stories, and understands the quiet ways in which blessings are sustained.

Since the 1970s, Haider has stood in this shop, serving people and growing older alongside them.

He came to love Fujairah, until it became the place where his heart settled—and where his life unfolded.

بصوتٍ يملؤه الحنين…
يتحدّث السيد حسن سليمان آل علي عن صداقةٍ وُلدت على مقاعد الدراسة الأولى.

صداقة جمعته بصاحب السمو الشيخ حمد بن محمد الشرقي حاكم الفجيرة منذ الطفولة…
وحين يستعيد حسن تلك الأيام، تسبق الكلمات دموعُ الوفاء لرفيق العمر.

يحدّثنا عن رجلٍ ظلّ قريباً من الناس،
وفيّاً لمن عرفهم في البدايات،
حاضراً بذات الروح التي لم تتغيّر.

عقودٌ مرّت وتبدّلت فيها الأحوال…
لكن مع قدوم رمضان، تعود الوجوه لتلتقي.

وتبقى الذاكرة شاهدةً
أن ما لا تغيّره الأيام
هو أثر العِشرة الأولى،
والقرب الإنساني الصادق

With a voice filled with nostalgia, Hassan Sulaiman Al Ali speaks of a friendship that began on the first school benches. A friendship that brought him together with His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah, from childhood.

As Hassan recalls those early days, emotion overtakes his words—tears of loyalty for a lifelong friend. He speaks of a man who has always remained close to people, faithful to those who knew him in the beginnings, and present with the same spirit that time has never changed.

Decades have passed and life has taken many turns. Yet when Ramadan arrives, familiar faces meet again, reminding us that what endures is the bond of those early years and the human closeness that time cannot erase.

مع أوّل نسمةٍ من ليالي رمضان، تمضي السيدة آمنة آل علي من منطقة مريشيد في الفجيرة بخطواتٍ تعرف طريقها جيداً…
لا تذهب وحدها، بل تمضي ورفيقتها وجارتها موزة سعدان، كما اعتادتا كل عام، إلى صلاة التراويح.

عادةٌ بسيطة في ظاهرها، عميقةٌ في معناها؛
خطواتٌ متجاورة، وقلوبٌ متآلفة، ودعاءٌ يُرفع معاً تحت سماءٍ واحدة.
في الطريق إلى المسجد، تتجدد الأحاديث كما تتجدد النيات، وتعود الفجيرة كما عرفناها: جيرةٌ صادقة، ورفقةٌ لا تنقطع، وإيمانٌ يُعاش بالمشاركة.

هكذا يدخل رمضان بيوتنا…
لا بالأضواء وحدها، بل بخطواتٍ تمشي معاً نحو الطمأنينة.

With the first breeze of Ramadan nights, Amna Al Ali from Merishid in Fujairah walks a path her heart has known for years.

She never walks alone. Each year, she and her neighbor and dear companion, Moza Saadan, make their way together to Taraweeh prayers — just as they always have.

A simple tradition in appearance, yet profound in meaning.
Side by side, with shared supplications and quiet conversations along the way, their steps reflect something deeply rooted in Fujairah’s spirit: sincere neighborliness, enduring companionship, and faith lived collectively.

This is how Ramadan enters the homes of Merishid —
not only through lanterns and lights, but through footsteps that move together toward serenity.

في متحف زايد الوطني، لا تُعرَضُ المقتنياتُ بوصفِها شواهدَ صامتة، بل كمعرفةٍ اختارتِ البقاءَ في ذاكرةٍ تنبض بالحياة
ومن هذه الذاكرة، تبدأ رحلةٌ مختلفة ..

متحف زايد الوطني يفتحُ بابَ المعنى، وفي الفجيرة وجوهٌ تسردُ الحكاية .. و أيادٍ ما زالت تعرف الطريق إلى الأداة.. كل قطعةٍ تخرج من إطار العرض حاملةً منطقَ عصرها، لتلتقي بمن يعرفها حقّ المعرفة ويبث فيها الحياة.

سلسلةٌ وثائقية ننجزها بالتعاون مع متحف زايد الوطني في أبوظبي، تُعيد وصلَ الذاكرة الوطنية بالممارسة الثقافية، و تتتبّعُ مسارَ التاريخ من موقع حفظِه، إلى حضورِه الفاعل في تفاصيلِ الحياة اليومية.

Zayed National Museum opens a gateway to meaning, and in Fujairah, there are faces that tell the story, and hands that still know the way to the tool.
Each object steps beyond the confines of the display case, carrying with it the logic of its time, to meet those who truly understand it and can restore it to its living context.

This documentary series, produced in collaboration with Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, reconnects national memory with cultural practice, tracing the path of history from the place where it is preserved to its active presence in the details of everyday life.

قبل أن يهلّ هلالُ الشهرِ الفضيل، يبدأ الاستعداد في بيتها من أواخر شعبان، وفاءً لشوقٍ يتجدّد كل عام.

في منزلها في منطقة "مريشيد" بإمارة الفجيرة ، تحضّر السيدة "عائشة سالم محمد الرمّاس" البهارات بنفسها، وتصنع القهوة والدخون والزيوت العطرية… ثم تهدي منها لصديقاتها وجاراتها وأقاربها، و كأنها تقول: رمضان لا يدخل القلوب فرادى.. و لا يكتمل إلا بالمشاركة.

عادةً جميلة تعيش في ذاكرتنا وتملأ قلوبنا شوقاً واستعداداً لرمضان الذي يعود كل عام كما كان.. محبّةٌ عامرةٌ، وجيرةٌ يكون فيها الجارُ سنداً وظلّاً، وأطباقٌ تعبر البيوت قبل أن تبرد.

Before the crescent moon of the blessed month is sighted, preparations quietly begin in her home in the final days of Sha’ban — a ritual born of a longing that renews itself with every passing year.

In her house in Mraisheed, Fujairah, Mrs. Aisha Salem Mohammed Al Rammas carefully prepares her spices by hand, roasts her coffee, blends her incense, and distills her fragrant oils — crafts learned through patience, memory, and inheritance. Then she shares them with friends, neighbors, and relatives, as though gently reminding us: Ramadan does not enter hearts alone; it is made whole through giving.

It is a beautiful tradition — one that lives in our collective memory and fills our hearts with anticipation for a month that returns each year as it always has: rich in affection, where neighbors are both shelter and support, and where dishes cross thresholds before they have even cooled.

يظل السيد سالم محمد ابراهيم الغيص الظنحاني شاهداً حياً على ماضينا الأصيل، حيث تكون المهنة هوية، والأرض مسؤولية، والتراث أمانة، يحملها بيدين تعرفهما الأرض جيداً، و وجه شكلت ملامحه التجارب بالصبر و العمل.

Mr. Salem Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Ghais Al Dhanhani remains a living witness to our authentic past, where a profession is an identity, the land a responsibility, and heritage a trust—carried by hands the land knows well, and a face whose features have been shaped by patience and labor.

لم يكن السيد سالم محمد ابراهيم الغيص الظنحاني عابراً في هذه الأرض لم يغادر مهنته رغم تغيّر الزمن، ولم يساوم على علاقته بالأرض.. تعلم الحرفة من يدَي والده… ومن صبر والدته، و من النخلة صنع حياةً وحاجاتٍ كانت البيوت لا تكتمل بدونها.
كانت النخلة رفيقة عمر. كبر معها، وعلّمته كيف يُصان التراث بالعمل لا بالكلام.. فبقي مثالاً حيّاً لمن حرسوا الذاكرة و مازالوا أوفياء..

Mr. Salem Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Ghais Al-Dhannahani was never a passing presence on this land. He did not abandon his craft despite the changing times, nor did he ever compromise his bond with the land. He learned the trade from his father’s hands, patience from his mother, and from the palm tree he shaped a life and essential needs—things no home was complete without.

The palm tree was his lifelong companion. He grew alongside it, and it taught him that safeguarding heritage is achieved through work, not words. Thus, he remains a living example of those who have guarded memory and continue to be faithful to it.

ثمانون عاماً، وما زالت خطواته تعرف طريقها بين النخيل، وما زالت يداه تدرك أن البركة في التراب. لا يترك أرضه التي لم تتركه يوماً، و إليها يأخذنا السيد سالم محمد ابراهيم الغيص الظنحاني من منطقة "دبا" بإمارة الفجيرة، حيث يعيش الحاضر بجذورٍ ترسخت في عمق ماضينا الأصيل.

Eighty years on, and his footsteps still know their way among the palm trees; his hands still understand that blessing lies in the soil. He never abandons the land that never abandoned him. To it, Mr. Salem Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Ghais Al-Dhanhani from Dibba in the Emirate of Fujairah takes us, where the present is lived through roots firmly embedded in the depth of our authentic past.

ما بدأته المدربة مارغريتا فيديروفا من أوكرانيا كخطوة مهنية في الفجيرة، تحوّل مع الأيام إلى ارتباط حقيقي بالمكان. من ميتكون جيم داخل نادي الفجيرة للتنس أسهمت في تحويل النادي إلى مساحة حياة، وتجمّع رياضي ذي بُعد ثقافي، وأسّست مجتمع لياقة نسائية يقوم على القوة والدعم والانضباط.
ثماني سنوات من العمل اليومي والالتزام، أثبتت خلالها أن الرياضة ليست هدفاً فحسب، بل وسيلة لبناء الإنسان.

What coach Margarita Fedorova began as a professional step in Fujairah gradually evolved into a genuine connection with the place. From MetCon Gym at Fujairah Tennis Club, she helped transform the club into a living space and a sports hub with a cultural dimension, establishing a women’s fitness community built on strength, support, and discipline.

Eight years of daily dedication and commitment have shown that sport is not merely a goal, but a means of building the human being.
