Sharjah Urban Planning Council

تأسس عام 2006، وفي إطار الحرص على مواكبة التطور الشامل الذي شهدته إمارة الشارقة، أصدر صاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي عضو المجلس الأعلى حاكم الشارقة في عام 2014، مرسوماً أميرياً بإنشاء مجلس التخطيط العمراني في إمارة الشارقة بتشكيله الجديد برئاسة الشيخ خالد بن سلطان بن محمد القاسمي، وقانوناً لتنظيم أهدافه وصلاحياته واختصاصاته. ويضم المجلس في عضويته دائرة التخطيط والمساحة، هيئة كهرباء

ومياه الشارقة، هيئة الطرق والمواصلات ممثلة برؤسائها. ويتبع المجلس لجنة فنية استشارية تضم خبراء من دائرة الإسكان، دائرة التنمية الاقتصادية، دائرة الإحصاء والتنمية المجتمعية، هيئة البيئة والمحميات الطبيعية، هيئة الإنماء التجاري والسياحي، وممثل عن القطاع الخاص. ويسعى المجلس إلى إعداد استراتيجية شاملة للتطوير الحضري ولمشروعات البنية التحتية في الإمارة، والإشراف على إعداد وتنفيذ ومتابعة وتحديث الخطط الاستراتيجية للدوائر الحكومية المعنية بالتطوير الحضري والبنية التحتية وشؤون البيئة. Founded in 2006, the Sharjah Urban Planning Council was formed in 2014, by virtue of the Amiri Decree No. 5 issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, within the framework of the efforts being made to keep pace with the overall development in the Emirate of Sharjah. Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi was named as Chairman of the Council by virtue of the Amiri decree No. 8 of 2014 regarding the appointment of a chairman for the Sharjah Urban Planning Council. Another law was issued by His Highness to delineate the council’s objectives, powers and competencies. The board’s membership is comprised of directors of government departments and authorities, including the Department of Planning and Survey, the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) and the Roads and Transport Authority. The Board is composed of a technical advisory committee comprising experts from the Directorate of Housing, Sharjah Economic Development Department, Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development, Environment and Protected Areas Authority, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority and a representative of the private sector. The council aims to develop a comprehensive strategy for urban development and infrastructure projects and oversee the preparation, ex*****on, follow-up and update of the strategic plans for government entities concerned in urban development, infrastructure and environment issues.
