The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a graduate level degree program for female and male students aspiring to be managers and leaders in the public, private and business sectors, which is essential to advancing the culture of professionalism in conducting business in the aforementioned sectors. The MBA is designed to target the essential managerial, strategic and analytical needs of the
public and private sector entities in Afghanistan. the primary objective of the program is to equip students with knowledge and the skills to maximize their effectiveness as managers and leaders in a globally competitive working environment and stimulate business sector. The program is not only about knowledge transfer but also about enabling students to conduct official business professionally, improve their organizations statuses, take full advantage of the present opportunities and anticipate the challenges. The program will focus on the following skills, too:
- Managerial and technical skills.
- Leadership abilities.
- Problem solving capacities.
- Business development acumen. The first ever-master degree program in Business Adminstration was developed with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through its University Support and workforce Development Program (USWDP) at the Economics Faculty of Kabul University in March 2016. The economics Faculty of Kabul University and USWDP have chosen the Ball State University to assist the former in curriculum development, faculty training and development, quality monitoring and supervision of graduate activities.
