Ministry of Finance publishes its Annual Debt Portfolio Review (DPR), 2019 – 2023.
The Ministry of Finance is pleased to announce the publication of its latest Annual Debt Portfolio Review, 2019-2023. Public debt reporting dictates that accurate and timely information on public debt activities should be published on a regular basis. It is our intention in keeping with the best practices of sound debt management and the principles of accountability and transparency to make public debt statistics readily accessible to the general public.
The DPR, a backward-looking analytical report, is a critical tool for transparency and accountability of developments in the public external and domestic portfolios over the last 5 years of the reporting year. The document provides stakeholders with historical information on Anguilla's debt dynamics.
The report aims to provide a detailed overview of the total public debt portfolio, along with an analysis of the movements in the debt stock over the specified review period. This edition provides:
• an overview of the economy in terms of the economic and fiscal developments over the period 2019-2023.
• an analysis on how these developments impact both the level and composition of the debt portfolio.
• a look into the evolution of total public sector debt; that is - its composition, costs and risks inherent in the current portfolio, debt sustainability indicators and the FFSD borrowing benchmarks/ratios.
•
Our commitment to fiscal responsibility and transparency drives us to ensure that the Anguilla's borrowing is sustainable and aligns with development goals. This Report seeks to make our debt management processes clearer and more accessible to all. Understanding Anguilla's debt position is crucial for informed discussions about our economic and fiscal health.
