Mission of DDM - To provide a comprehensive and integrated emergency management system that coordinates public, community and private resources to protect lives, property and the environment through all phases of the disaster cycle from all natural and man-made hazards that may impact Anguilla

The Government of Anguilla is committed to minimizing the loss of life, suffering, damage and disruption

caused by hazard events.
β€’ To this end the Government of Anguilla (GoA) agreed a National Comprehensive Disaster Management strategy in 2005-2009 this was co-ordinated by the National Disaster Management Committee (NDMC) and the Department for Disaster Management (DDM).
β€’ The strategy made provisions for many National Emergency Programmes:
β€’ Shelter, DANA, Mitigation, Health, Mass Casualty, Relief etc. and a National Emergency Operations Centre

The Department of Disaster Management is currently conducting a re-evaluation of the Anguilla Warning System to ensure it continues to effectively serve and protect our community.

There is no cause for concern.

Emergency Response Agencies worked together in what was to be a realistic exercise.
