Pace. Pace. Pace. A quasi otto mesi dalla sua elezione al soglio Pontificio, torna ad affacciarsi dalla Loggia centrale della basilica Vaticana per invocare la riconciliazione in ogni angolo della Terra. Nel giorno del Natale del Signore, il suo accorato appello risuona tra i circa 26mila pellegrini radunati in piazza San Pietro, ancora bagnata dalla pioggia battente delle ultime ore. Il vescovo di Roma li saluta con un giro in papambile, compiuto al termine della Messa del giorno celebrata stamani in basilica e prima di affacciarsi alla Loggia.

Nel suo primo messaggio di con la benedizione apostolica " ", il Papa esorta a farsi solidali con i deboli e gli oppressi e chiede di pregare per le vittime di “tutte le guerre nel mondo” e per Gaza, il Medio Oriente, la martoriata Ucraina e diversi Paesi in Africa, Asia e America Latina. L’Anno Giubilare sta per concludersi, ma “Cristo nostra speranza rimane sempre con noi”.

The Apostolic Nunciature in the Republic of Armenia with both deep sorrow and Christian hope informs that His Holiness Pope Francis deceased on Easter Monday 21 April 2025.

The Book of Condolences will be open at the Apostolic Nunciature (suit 17, house: 10/1 Northern Avenue, Yerevan) on Wednesday 23 April, from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 17:00, on Thursday 24 April, from 15:00 to 17:00, and on Friday 25 April, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 17:00. An electronic Book of Condolences is also available at: [email protected].

A solemn Liturgy for the rest of the Pope's soul will be celebrated on Friday 25 April 2025, at 18:00, at the Chapel of the Armenian Catholic Centre, Kanaker (Tbilissian Avenue, side str. 1, Yerevan).

🔶 Audience with the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Holy See for the exchange of greetings for the New Year, 08.01.2024

🔸 I also express my concern for the tense situation in the South Caucasus between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and I urge the parties to arrive at the signing of a peace treaty. It is urgent that a solution be found to the dramatic humanitarian situation of those living in that region, while favouring the return of refugees to their own homes in legality and security and with respect for the places of worship of the different religious confessions present there. These steps will help contribute to the building of a climate of trust between the two countries, in view of the greatly desired peace.
