بمناسبة مشاركته في اجتماع اللجنة الوزارية العربية المكلّفة بالتحرك الدولي من أجل القدس، الذي ينعقد بالعاصمة الأردنية عمّان اليوم 5 أوت 2026، أجرى السيد محمد علي النفطي، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والهجرة والتونسيين بالخارج، لقاءً مع السيد فؤاد حسين، نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية بجمهورية العراق.

ومثّل اللقاء مناسبة لتجديد التأكيد على عمق العلاقات الأخوية والتاريخية التي تجمع الجمهورية التونسية وجمهورية العراق الشقيق، وما يربط الدولتين والشعبين الشقيقين من روابط متينة، إلى جانب بحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي والارتقاء به إلى مستويات أرحب.

وفي هذا السياق، تطرق الجانبان إلى الاستحقاقات الثنائية المقبلة، بما يعزز مسيرة التعاون والشراكة بين البلدين في مختلف المجالات، لا سيما الاقتصادية والتجارية والاستثمارية وقطاعات الطاقة والزراعة والسياحة والنقل والثقافة. كما شدد الوزيران على أهمية مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور بين تونس والعراق، إزاء التطورات التي تشهدها المنطقة وتحدياتها.

وبخصوص تطورات القضية الفلسطينية، جدّد الوزيران التأكيد على مواقف البلدين الداعمة لحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق وقضيته العادلة، وأهمية تكثيف التحرك العربي والدولي من أجل حماية القدس الشريف والحفاظ على مكانتها التاريخية ووضعها القانوني وحماية مقدساتها الإسلامية والمسيحية، في إطار الجهود المبذولة ضمن اللجنة الوزارية العربية المكلّفة بالتحرك الدولي من أجل القدس.

À l'occasion de sa participation à la réunion du Comité Ministériel Arabe chargé de l'action internationale concernant Al-Qods Al-Charif, qui se tient dans la Capitale jordanienne, Amman, aujourd'hui 5 août 2026, M. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Ministre des Affaires Étrangères, de la Migration et des Tunisiens à l’Étranger, s'est entretenu avec M. Fuad Hussein, Vice-Premier Ministre et Ministre des Affaires Étrangères de la République d'Irak.

Cet entretien a constitué une occasion pour réitérer la profondeur des relations fraternelles et historiques qui unissent la République tunisienne et la République d'irak, ainsi que les liens solides qui lient les deux États et les deux Peuples frères, outre l'examen des moyens de renforcement de la coopération bilatérale et de son ouverture vers de plus larges perspectives.

Dans le même contexte, les deux parties ont abordé les prochaines échéances bilatérales, de manière à renforcer la coopération et le partenariat entre les deux Pays dans divers domaines, notamment économique, commercial, d'investissement, ainsi que dans les secteurs de l'énergie, de l'agriculture, du tourisme, du transport et de la culture. Les deux Ministres ont également souligné l'importance de poursuivre la coordination et la concertation entre la Tunisie et l'Irak face aux développements que connaît la région et à ses défis.

S'agissant de la cause palestinienne, les deux Ministres ont réitéré les positions des deux Pays soutenant les droits du Peuple palestinien frère et sa cause juste, ainsi que l'importance d'intensifier l'action arabe et internationale en vue de protéger Al-Qods Al-Charif et de préserver son statut historique, son statut juridique et ses lieux Saints islamiques et chrétiens, dans le cadre des efforts déployés au sein du Comité Ministériel Arabe chargé de l'action internationale pour Al-Qods Al-Charif.

On the occasion of his participation in the meeting of the Arab Ministerial Committee entrusted with International Action in support of Al-Quds al-Sharif, held in the Jordanian capital Amman on 5 August 2026, Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, held a meeting with Mr. Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq.

The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the depth of the fraternal and historical relations between the Republic of Tunisia and the brotherly Republic of Iraq, as well as the strong bonds uniting the two States and their peoples. It also served to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and elevate it to broader levels.

In the same context, the two sides discussed upcoming bilateral entitlements aimed at further advancing cooperation and partnership between the two countries across various fields, particularly in the areas of economy, trade, investment, energy, agriculture, tourism, transport, and culture. The two Ministers also stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between Tunisia and Iraq in light of regional developments and challenges.

Regarding developments related to the Palestinian cause, the two Ministers reaffirmed their countries’ positions in support of the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people and their just cause. They emphasized the importance of intensifying Arab and International efforts to protect Al-Quds al-Sharif, preserve its historical status and legal standing, and safeguard its Islamic and Christian Holy sites, within the framework of the efforts undertaken by the Arab Ministerial Committee entrusted with International Action in support of Al-Quds al-Sharif.

بمناسبة مشاركته في أشغال اجتماع اللجنة الوزارية العربية المكلّفة بالتحرك الدولي من أجل القدس، الذي ينعقد اليوم 5 اوت 2026 بالعاصمة الأردنية عمّان، اجرى السيد محمد علي النفطي، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والهجرة والتونسيين بالخارج، لقاءً مع السيد نبيل فهمي، الأمين العام لجامعة الدول العربية.

جدّد الوزير خلال هذا اللقاء تهانيه للسيد الأمين العام علي اثر توليه مهامه، راجيا له التوفيق والنجاح، مؤكدا حرص تونس على دعم وإسناد جهود جامعة الدول العربية وتعزيز دورها في تطوير العمل العربي المشترك وإثراء مضمونه، فضلا عن فتح آفاق جديدة للتعاون القائم مع سائر المنظمات الدولية والإقليمية. كما شدد على أهمية مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور بين بلادنا والأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية، مثمنا الدور الذي تضطلع به مؤسسات العمل العربي المشترك، لا سيما تلك المقيمة بتونس، باعتبارها رافدا للتعاون والتكامل بين الدول العربية في مختلف المجالات العلمية والتكنولوجية والثقافية والتربوية.

À l'occasion de sa participation aux travaux de la réunion du Comité Ministériel Arabe chargé de l'action internationale concernant Al-Qods Al-Charif, qui se tient aujourd'hui, 5 août 2026, dans la capitale jordanienne Amman, M. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Ministre des Affaires Étrangères, de la Migration et des Tunisiens à l’Étranger, s'est entretenu avec M. Nabil Fahmy, Secrétaire Général de la Ligue des États Arabes.

Au cours de cet entretien, le Ministre a réitéré ses félicitations au nouveau Secrétaire Général à l'occasion de sa prise de fonctions, lui souhaitant plein succès, tout en affirmant le souci de la Tunisie de soutenir les efforts de la Ligue des États Arabes et de renforcer son rôle dans le développement de l'action arabe commune et l'enrichissement de son contenu, outre l'ouverture de nouvelles perspectives pour la coopération existante avec les différentes Organisations Internationales et Régionales. Il a également souligné l'importance de poursuivre la coordination et la concertation entre notre Pays et le Secrétariat Général de la Ligue des États Arabes, saluant le rôle joué par les Institutions de l'action arabe commune, en particulier celles basées en Tunisie, en tant que levier de coopération et de complémentarité entre les Pays arabes dans les divers domaines scientifiques, technologiques, culturels et éducatifs.

Pour sa part, M. Nabil Fahmy, Secrétaire Général de la Ligue des États Arabes, a exprimé son souci de hisser davantage l'action arabe commune dans le cadre de la concertation et de la coordination, de manière à garantir l'efficacité face aux défis actuels, tout en louant le rôle important de la Tunisie à cet égard.

L'entretien a en outre porté sur les derniers développements de la cause palestinienne, les deux parties soulignant l'importance d'intensifier l'action arabe et internationale pour soutenir le Peuple palestinien et renforcer sa résilience, afin d'assurer la préservation du statut d'Al-Qods Al-Charif, le maintien de son statut historique et juridique et la protection de ses lieux Saints.

On the occasion of his participation in the proceedings of the meeting of the Arab Ministerial Committee tasked with the International Action on Al-Quds al-Sharif, held today, 5 August 2026, in the Jordanian capital Amman, Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, held a meeting with Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.

During the meeting, the Minister renewed his congratulations to the Secretary-General on assuming his duties, wishing him success and prosperity. He affirmed Tunisia’s commitment to supporting and backing the efforts of the League of Arab States, strengthening its role in developing joint Arab action and enriching its content, as well as opening new horizons for cooperation with other international and regional organizations. He also stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between Tunisia and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, praising the role played by the institutions of joint Arab action, especially those based in Tunisia, as a leading force for Arab Cooperation and Integration in various scientific, technological, cultural, and educational fields.

For his part, Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, expressed his determination to further advance joint Arab action through consultation and coordination in a way that ensures efficiency and effectiveness in confronting the challenges ahead, noting Tunisia’s important role in this regard.

The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the Palestinian issue, with both sides emphasizing the importance of intensifying Arab and International efforts to support the Palestinian people and strengthen their resilience, in order to safeguard the status of Al-Quds al-Sharif and preserve its historical and legal standing and protect its Holy sites.

اجرى السيد محمد علي النفطي، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والهجرة والتونسيين بالخارج، اليوم 5 اوت 2026، مكالمة هاتفية مع السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي بدولة ليبيا، تطرق خلالها الى اوجه التعاون الثنائي وأفاق تطويره، لاسيما في مجال الطاقة والطاقات المتجددة. واتفق الوزيران على الاعداد الجيد للاستحقاق الثنائي المقبل الذي سيخصص للنظر في تطوير برامج التعاون الاقتصادي والفني والطاقي بين البلدين.

وجدد الوزير بالمناسبة تأكيد حرص تونس على أمن واستقرار ونماء ليبيا الشقيقة في اطار حل ليبي _ ليبي تحت مظلة الامم المتحدة، يؤمّن وحدتها الترابية.

M. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Ministre des Affaires Etrangères, de la Migration et des Tunisiens à l’Etranger, a eu, ce 5 août 2026, un entretien téléphonique avec M. Taher Al-Baour, chargé de la gestion du Ministère des Affaires Etrangères et de la Coopération Internationale de l’État de Libye.

Les deux Ministres ont évoqué les différents aspects de la coopération bilatérale ainsi que les perspectives de son développement, notamment dans les domaines de l’énergie et des énergies renouvelables. Ils ont convenus de préparer dans les meilleures conditions la prochaine échéance bilatérale, qui sera consacrée à l’examen des moyens de renforcer les programmes de coopération économique, technique et énergétique entre les deux Pays.

À cette occasion, le Ministre a réaffirmé l’attachement de la Tunisie à la sécurité, à la stabilité et au développement de la Libye, dans le cadre d’un règlement interlibyen, sous l’égide des Nations Unies, garantissant son unité territoriale.

Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, held a telephone conversation on 5 August 2026 with Mr. Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the State of Libya.

The two Ministers reviewed the various aspects of bilateral cooperation and the prospects for its further development, particularly in the fields of energy and renewable energy. They agreed on the importance of ensuring thorough preparations for the upcoming bilateral meeting, which will be devoted to exploring ways to strengthen programmes of economic, technical and energy cooperation between the two countries.

On this occasion, the Minister reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to the security, stability and development of Libya within the framework of a Libyan-led and Libyan-owned political settlement, under the auspices of the United Nations, that preserves the country’s unity and territorial integrity.

عقد السيد محمد علي النفطي، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والهجرة والتونسيين بالخارج، لقاءً مع السيدة فارسين أغابكيان شاهين، وزيرة الخارجية والمغتربين بدولة فلسطين، وذلك على هامش مشاركتهما في أشغال اجتماع اللجنة الوزارية العربية المكلّفة بالتحرك الدولي من أجل القدس، المنعقد بالعاصمة الأردنية عمّان اليوم 5 أوت 2026.

ومثّل اللقاء مناسبة جدّد خلالها الوزير التأكيد على موقف تونس الثابت والمبدئي الداعم للقضية الفلسطينية العادلة، والوقوف إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق في نضاله من أجل استرداد حقوقه المشروعة، وفي مقدمتها حقه في تقرير المصير وإقامة دولته المستقلة كاملة السيادة على أرضه وعاصمتها القدس الشريف. كما أكد السيد محمد علي النفطي مواصلة تونس دعمها للقضية الفلسطينية في مختلف المحافل الاقليمية والدولية والدفاع عن مكانة القدس الشريف والحفاظ على طابعها التاريخي ووضعها القانوني، وعلى مقدساتها الإسلامية والمسيحية، مذكرا في هذا السياق بالمرافعتين الشفاهيتين اللتين قدمتهما بلادنا امام محكمة العدل الدولية بخصوص التزامات الكيان المحتل وضرورة توجيه المساعدات الانسانية للشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق. وجدد استعداد تونس علي تكثيف التعاون الثنائي لا سيما في المجالات الفنية والتعليمية والطلابية.

ومن جانبها، أعربت السيدة فارسين أغابكيان شاهين عن تقدير الجانب الفلسطيني للمواقف الثابتة للجمهورية التونسية بقيادة السيد رئيس الجمهورية الأستاذ قيس سعيد، تجاه القضية الفلسطينية، وللدعم الراسخ الذي يقدمه الشعب التونسي الي شقيقه الفلسطيني.

كما تناول اللقاء مستجدات الأوضاع في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، لاسيما في قطاع غزة والضفة الغربية، حيث شدد الجانبان على ضرورة تكثيف التحرك العربي والدولي لوقف التصعيد، وحماية المدنيين، ووضع حد للانتهاكات المتواصلة، مع التأكيد على أهمية تضافر الجهود من أجل التوصل إلى حل يعيد للشعب الفلسطيني حقوقه المسلوبة. و أكد الجانبان أهمية مواصلة التنسيق في إطار اللجنة الوزارية العربية المكلّفة بالتحرك الدولي من أجل القدس، وتعزيز العمل المشترك لحشد الدعم الدولي للقضية الفلسطينية وصون مكانة القدس الشريف.

Mohamed Ali Nafti, Ministre des Affaires Étrangères, de la Migration et des Tunisiens à l’Étranger, s'est entretenu avec Mme Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Ministre des Affaires Étrangères et des Expatriés de l'État de Palestine, en marge de leur participation aux travaux de la réunion du Comité Ministériel Arabe chargé de l'action internationale concernant Al-Qods Al-Charif, qui se tient aujourd'hui, 5 août 2026, dans la capitale jordanienne, Amman.

Cet entretien a constitué une occasion au cours de laquelle M. le Ministre a réitéré la position constante et de principe de la Tunisie en soutien à la juste cause palestinienne, ainsi que sa solidarité aux côtés du Peuple palestinien frère dans sa lutte pour le recouvrement de ses droits légitimes, au premier rang desquels son droit à l'autodétermination et à l'établissement de son État indépendant et pleinement souverain sur sa terre avec Al-Qods Al-Charif pour Capitale.

M. Mohamed Ali Nafti a également réaffirmé le soutien de la Tunisie à la cause palestinienne au sein des différentes instances régionales et internationales, ainsi que la défense du statut d'Al-Qods Al-Charif, de son caractère historique, de son statut juridique et de ses lieux saints islamiques et chrétiens, rappelant dans ce contexte les deux plaidoiries orales présentées par notre Pays devant la Cour Internationale de Justice concernant les obligations de l'entité occupante et la nécessité de faire parvenir l'aide humanitaire au Peuple palestinien frère. Il a en outre réitéré la disposition de la Tunisie à intensifier la coopération bilatérale, notamment dans les domaines technique, éducatif et estudiantin.

Pour sa part, Mme Varsen Aghabekian Shahin a exprimé la haute appréciation de la partie palestinienne pour les positions constantes de la République tunisienne, sous la conduite du Président de la République, Monsieur Kaïs Saïed, envers la cause palestinienne, ainsi que pour le soutien indéfectible apporté par le Peuple tunisien à son frère palestinien.

L'entretien a également porté sur les derniers développements de la situation dans les territoires palestiniens occupés, notamment dans la bande de Gaza et en Cisjordanie. À cet égard, les deux parties ont souligné la nécessité d'intensifier l'action arabe et internationale pour mettre fin à l'escalade, protéger les civils et mettre un terme aux violations continues, tout en insistant sur l'importance de la conjugaison des efforts en vue de parvenir à une solution qui restitue au peuple palestinien ses droits spoliés.

Les deux parties ont enfin affirmé l'importance de poursuivre la coordination dans le cadre du Comité Ministériel Arabe chargé de l'action internationale pour Al-Qods Al-Charif, et de renforcer l'action commune afin de mobiliser un soutien international accru en faveur de la cause palestinienne et de préserver le statut d'Al-Qods Al-Charif.

Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, held talks with Ms. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, on the sidelines of their participation in the meeting of the Arab Ministerial Committee entrusted with international action on Al-Quds Al-Sharif, held in Amman on 5 August 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Minister to reaffirm Tunisia’s steadfast and principled position in support of the just Palestinian cause and its unwavering solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle to restore their inalienable rights, foremost among them the right to self-determination and to establish their independent and entirely sovereign State on their national territory, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti also reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to continue supporting the Palestinian cause in regional and international fora and to defend the status of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, while preserving its historical character, legal status, and its Islamic and Christian holy sites. In this regard, he recalled the two oral pleadings presented by Tunisia before the International Court of Justice concerning the obligations of the occupying Power and the imperative of ensuring the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the brotherly Palestinian people.

The Minister further reiterated Tunisia’s readiness to intensify bilateral cooperation with the State of Palestine, particularly in the technical, educational and academic fields.

For her part, Ms. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin expressed the Palestinian side’s appreciation for the steadfast positions of the Republic of Tunisia, under the leadership of His Excellency President Kaïs Saïed, in support of the Palestinian cause, as well as for the unwavering solidarity demonstrated by the Tunisian people with their Palestinian brothers and sisters.

The meeting also reviewed the latest developments in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, particularly in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. In this regard, the two sides stressed the need to intensify Arab and international efforts to halt the escalation, ensure the protection of civilians, and put an end to the ongoing violations, while emphasizing the importance of concerted efforts to achieve a just solution that restores the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights.

The two sides also underscored the importance of continuing coordination within the framework of the Arab Ministerial Committee entrusted with international action on Al-Quds Al-Sharif and of strengthening joint efforts to mobilize broader international support for the Palestinian cause and preserve the status of Al-Quds Al-Sharif.

ومثّل هذا اللقاء مناسبة جدّد خلالها الوزيران التأكيد على عمق وتميز العلاقات التونسية المصرية، وما يجمع البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين من روابط تاريخية راسخة وأواصر أخوية متينة، مشيدين بما يشهده التعاون الثنائي من تطور إيجابي في مختلف المجالات، وبما يعكس الإرادة المشتركة للارتقاء به إلى مستويات أرحب.

كما ثمّن الجانبان النتائج الإيجابية التي أفضت إليها أعمال الدورة الثامنة عشرة للجنة العليا التونسية المصرية المشتركة، المنعقدة بالقاهرة في سبتمبر 2025، وأكدا أهمية متابعة تنفيذ مخرجاتها في الآجال المتفق عليها، بما يعزز نسق التعاون الثنائي، خاصة في المجالات الاقتصادية والتجارية والاستثمارية والقطاعات الحيوية كالكهرباء والطاقات المتجددة، إلى جانب البنية التحتية والثقافة، ويفتح آفاقاً أوسع للشراكة والتكامل بين البلدين.

وتناول اللقاء كذلك تبادل وجهات النظر بشأن أبرز التطورات الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، حيث شدد الوزيران على ضرورة مواصلة دعم القضية الفلسطينية باعتبارها القضية المركزية للأمة العربية، والدفاع عن الحقوق المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني، وصون مقدساته، مؤكدين أهمية تكثيف الجهود الرامية إلى خفض التصعيد واحتواء التوترات، وإعطاء الأولوية للحلول السياسية والدبلوماسية لمعالجة الأزمات التي تشهدها المنطقة، بما يسهم في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار على المستويين العربي والإقليمي.

كما أكد الجانبان أهمية مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور بين البلدين إزاء مختلف القضايا الامنية والتنموية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما يعزز العمل العربي المشترك، ويسهم في مواجهة التحديات الراهنة، وصون أمن واستقرار فضاءات انتماء البلدين العربية والأفريقية والمتوسطية.

M. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Ministre des Affaires Étrangères, de la Migration et des Tunisiens à l’Étranger, s'est entretenu avec son homologue égyptien, M. Badr Abdelatty, Ministre des Affaires Étrangères, de la Coopération Internationale et des Égyptiens à l'Étranger, à l'occasion de sa participation à la réunion du Comité Ministériel Arabe chargé de l'action internationale concernant Al-Qods Al-Charif, qui se tiendra dans la capitale jordanienne, Amman, le 5 août 2026.

Cet entretien a constitué une occasion au cours de laquelle les deux Ministres ont réitéré la profondeur et le caractère privilégié des relations tuniso-égyptiennes, ainsi que les liens historiques ancrés et les relations fraternelles solides qui unissent les deux Pays et les deux Peuples frères, se félicitant de l'évolution positive de la coopération bilatérale dans divers domaines, traduisant la volonté commune de la hisser vers de plus larges perspectives.

Les deux parties se sont également félicitées des résultats positifs auxquels ont abouti les travaux de la 18ᵉ session de la Grande Commission Mixte tuniso-égyptienne, tenue au Caire en septembre 2025, et ont souligné l'importance de suivre la mise en œuvre de ses conclusions dans les délais convenus, de manière à renforcer le rythme de la coopération bilatérale, en particulier dans les domaines économique, commercial, d'investissement et dans les secteurs vitaux tels que l'électricité et les énergies renouvelables, outre les infrastructures et la culture, et à ouvrir de plus larges perspectives de partenariat et de complémentarité entre les deux Pays.

L'entretien a en outre porté sur un échange de vues concernant les principaux développements régionaux et internationaux d'intérêt commun. À cet égard, les deux Ministres ont souligné la nécessité de poursuivre le soutien à la cause palestinienne en tant que cause centrale de la Nation arabe, de défendre les droits légitimes du peuple palestinien et de préserver ses lieux saints, affirmant l'importance d'intensifier les efforts visant à désamorcer l'escalade, à contenir les tensions et à accorder la priorité aux solutions politiques et diplomatiques pour le règlement des crises que connaît la région, contribuant ainsi à renforcer la sécurité et la stabilité aux niveaux arabe et régional.

Les deux parties ont enfin affirmé l'importance de poursuivre la coordination et la concertation entre les deux Pays sur les différentes questions sécuritaires et de développement d'intérêt commun, de nature à renforcer l'action arabe commune et à contribuer à faire face aux défis actuels, tout en préservant la sécurité et la stabilité des espaces d'appartenance arabe, africain et méditerranéen des deux Pays.

Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, met with his Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, on the occasion of his participation in the meeting of the Arab Ministerial Committee entrusted with international action on Al-Quds Al-Sharif, held in Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on 5 August 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the two Ministers to reaffirm the depth and distinguished nature of Tunisian-Egyptian relations, as well as the longstanding historical ties and strong fraternal bonds uniting the two brotherly countries and peoples. They commended the positive momentum witnessed in bilateral cooperation across various fields, reflecting the shared determination to further elevate it to broader horizons.

The two sides also welcomed the positive outcomes of the 18th Session of the Tunisian-Egyptian High Joint Commission, held in Cairo in September 2025, and stressed the importance of ensuring the timely implementation of its outcomes, with a view to further enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic, trade and investment sectors, as well as in strategic fields such as electricity, renewable energy, infrastructure and culture, thereby opening broader prospects for partnership and integration between the two countries.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on the main regional and international developments of common interest. In this regard, the two Ministers stressed the need to continue supporting the Palestinian cause as the central cause of the Arab Nation, defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and safeguarding its holy sites. They further underscored the importance of intensifying efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions, containing crises, and giving priority to political and diplomatic solutions to the crises facing the region, in a manner that contributes to strengthening security and stability at both the Arab and regional levels.

The two sides also emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on the various security and development issues of common interest, with a view to strengthening joint Arab action, addressing current challenges, and safeguarding the security and stability of the Arab, African and Mediterranean spaces to which the two countries belong.
