The Philippine Embassy in Argentina proudly participates in the observance of the 48th National Disability Rights (NDR) Week, celebrated from 17 to 23 July 2026 pursuant to Proclamation No. 597.
This year’s theme, “Rights First, Legislation Forward - Strategic Action for Equal Participation and Inclusive Development,” highlights two key pillars: strategic direction through long-term roadmaps, system reform, rights-based governance, and legislative advancements including new laws, stronger enforcement, and gap-closing measures. Aligned with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability and national development goals, it positions disability rights as a legal, policy, and institutional priority — not just social welfare.
The Embassy stands in solidarity with all Filipinos in advancing dignity, equal opportunity, and full participation for persons with disabilities. ♿❤️

The Philippine Embassy in Argentina joins the Department of Foreign Affairs, other Philippine Government agencies, the global community, and all Filipinos around the world, in commemorating this landmark ruling which is recognized as a definitive benchmark for the interpretation of the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and has since served as a guidepost for maritime rights, environmental obligations, and the peaceful resolution of disputes.

Our Seas. Our Rights. Our Future.
