Am 27. Januar 2026 fand in Pressburg/Bratislava (SK) bereits zum dritten Mal die englischsprachige Konferenz „Cultural Routes with experiences” statt, organisiert von der Cyril and Methodius Route. Ziel der Konferenz war es erneut sich über die Erfahrungen im vergangenen Jahr im Bereich des Kulturtourismus auszutauschen.

Anwesend waren bei dem Treffen in der St.-Martin-Kathedrale Vertreter der Santiago de Compostela Pilgrim Routes, der Saint Martin of Tours Route, der Romea Strata, der Krönungsroute und der Via Habsburg.

An der Sitzung nahm online auch Rui Gomes teil, der Exekutivsekretär des Erweiterten Teilabkommens über Kulturwege (EPA) und Direktor des Europäischen Instituts für Kulturwege (EICR).

Der Präsident der Via Habsburg, Reinhold Sahl hielt dabei einen Vortrag mit dem Titel: "Let's celebrate the certification – the development begins".

On 27 January 2026 the conference “Cultural Routes with Experiences” took place for the third time in Bratislava (SK), organized by the Cyril and Methodius Route.The aim of the conference was once again to exchange experiences in the field of cultural tourism over the past year.

Representatives of the Santiago de Compostela Pilgrim Routes, the Saint Martin of Tours Route, the Romea Strata, the Coronation Route, and the Via Habsburg were present at the meeting in St. Martin's Cathedral.

Rui Gomes, Executive Secretary of the Extended Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes (EPA) and Director of the European Institute of Cultural Routes (EICR), also participated in the meeting online.

The president of Via Habsburg, Reinhold Sahl, gave a presentation entitled: “Let's celebrate the certification – the development begins.”

We would like to thank Cyril and Methodius Route for the invitation and look forward to future cooperation!

Le 27 janvier 2026, la conférence en anglais « Cultural Routes with experiences » (Itinéraires culturels et expériences) s'est tenue pour la troisième fois à Bratislava (SK), organisée par la Cyril and Methodius Route. L'objectif de la conférence était à nouveau d'échanger les expériences de l'année écoulée dans le domaine du tourisme culturel.

Des représentants des itinéraires de pèlerinage de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, de Saint-Martin-de-Tours, de la Romea Strata, de la Route du couronnement et de la Via Habsburg étaient présents à la réunion qui s'est tenue dans la cathédrale Saint-Martin.

Rui Gomes, secrétaire exécutif de l'Accord partiel élargi sur les itinéraires culturels (EPA) et directeur de l'Institut européen des itinéraires culturels (EICR), a également participé à la réunion en ligne.

Le président de la Via Habsburg, Reinhold Sahl, a donné une conférence intitulée « Célébrons la certification – le développement commence ».

🗓️ Vergangenen Donnerstag, am 28. Januar 2026 nahmen der Präsident der Via Habsburg, Reinhold Sahl und der Manager, Christian Gepp in Lübeck an einem Treffen aller in Deutschland vertretenen Kulturrouten des Europarates teil.

📌In Deutschland befindliche Wegpunkte der Via Habsburg sind u.a. der Dom zu Speyer​, visit.freiburg​ oder die Stadt Endingen​.​

🗺️Bei dem Arbeitstreffen im Lübecker Rathaus ging es um die Weiterentwicklung und verstärkte Zusammenarbeit der Kulturrouten in Deutschland und insbesondere darum, wie thematische und geographische Synergieeffekte erzeugt werden können.

🤝Wir danken DIE HANSE​ vielmals f​ür die Einladung und allen weiteren anwesenden Kulturrouten für die konstruktiven Gespräche. Wir freuen uns auf fruchtbringende Zusammenarbeit!

Heute Vormittag traf sich der Vorstand der Via Habsburg in kleiner Runde, bestehend aus Präsident, Manager, Schatzmeisterin und Sekretär, um die Jahresplanung für 2026 zu besprechen!

In Planung stehen dabei der Abschluss der laufenden Evaluierung, die Generalkonferenz 2026, die Entwicklung eines Krimispiels, die Teilnahme an mehreren Film- und Museumsprojekten sowie eine wissenschaftliche Tagung.

Wir freuen uns und sind voller Tatendrang Sie/Euch über all das hier am Laufenden zu halten!

This morning, the Via Habsburg board met in a small group consisting of the president, manager, treasurer and secretary to discuss the annual plan for 2026!

Plans include completing the ongoing evaluation, the 2026 General Conference, developing a crime game, participating in several film and museum projects, and a scientific conference.

📺Fernsehtipp für heute Abend!

Um 20:15 Uhr wird auf dem Kultursender 3sat Teil 5 der erfolgreichen Dokumentationsserie "Die Habsburger in Europa" erstausgestrahlt!

Dabei geht es in "Ein letzter Glanz" um das bewegte 19. Jahrhundert, das das Habsburgerreich neben großen technischen Neuerungen und Möglichkeiten auch vor schwere Aufgaben und Herausforderungen stellte.

🏰Die Dokureihe von Gernot Stadler liegt uns ganz besonders am Herzen, da die Via Habsburg einen der Erzählstränge bildete und viele unserer Mitglieder vorstellte. Auch der Präsident der Via Habsburg Burghauptmann Reinhold Sahl kam öfter zu Wort, so auch heute, in Teil 5.
Wir möchten uns daher auch an dieser Stelle bei Filmemacher Gernot Stadler und Drehbuchautor Walter Grill für die ausgezeichnete Zusammenarbeit bedanken!

📺TV tip for tonight!

At 8:15 p.m., part 5 of the successful documentary series ‘Die Habsburger in Europa’ will be broadcast for the first time on the cultural channel 3sat!

‘Ein letzter Glanz’ deals with the turbulent 19th century, which presented the Habsburg Empire with great technical innovations and opportunities, but also with difficult tasks and challenges.

🏰The documentary series by Gernot Stadler is particularly close to our hearts, as Via Habsburg was one of the narrative strands and featured many of our members. The president of Via Habsburg, Burghauptmann Reinhold Sahl, also spoke frequently, as he does today in part 5.
We would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank filmmaker Gernot Stadler and screenwriter Walter Grill for their excellent collaboration!

📚Die Via Habsburg wird innerhalb der Fédération Française des Itinéraires Culturels Européens (Französischer Verband der Europäischen Kulturrouten) von Alsace Destination Tourisme - Pro vertreten, einem unserer wichtigsten Mitglieder im Elsass.

Alsace Destination Tourisme - Pro vertrat die Via Habsburg am 25. und 26. September in Paris im Maison de l'Europe ("Europahaus"), wo Besucher derzeit die neue Wanderausstellung zu den 33 Kulturrouten des Europarates Frankreichs entdecken können. Diese wurde vom französischen Kulturministerium in Zusammenarbeit mit den Routen konzipiert und lädt Reisende dazu ein, Grenzen zu überschreiten, um ihre Geschichte, das Erbe und die Werte Europas im Sinne eines nachhaltigen und sinnvollen Tourismus zu entdecken.

Zudem wurde die Via Habsburg von Alsace Destination Tourisme - Pro auch am 7. Oktober im Europäischen Parlament in Straßburg vertreten, während der Sitzung der Intergruppe zum europäischen Kulturerbe auf Einladung von Francisco Millan Mon und Massimiliano Salini, Mitglieder des Europäischen Parlaments, jeweils Präsident und Vizepräsident der Intergruppe, sowie Rui GOMES, Direktor des European Institute of Cultural Routes/Direktor des Europäischen Instituts für Kulturrouten in Luxemburg.

Wir danken dem Alsace Destination Tourisme - Pro für seine wertvolle Arbeit, die wesentlich dazu beiträgt unser gemeinsames, europäisches (bau)kulturelle Erbe bekanntzumachen!

📚Via Habsburg is represented within the Fédération Française des Itinéraires Culturels Européens (French Federation of European Cultural Routes) by Alsace Destination Tourisme - Pro, one of our most important members in Alsace.

Alsace Destination Tourisme - Pro represented Via Habsburg on 25 and 26 September in Paris at the Maison de l'Europe (‘House of Europe’), where visitors can currently discover the new travelling exhibition on the 33 cultural routes of the Council of Europe in France. This exhibition was designed by the French Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the routes and invites travellers to cross borders to discover Europe's history, heritage and values in the spirit of sustainable and meaningful tourism.

La Route des Habsburg est représentée au sein de la Fédération Française des Itinéraires Culturels Européens par Alsace Destination Tourisme - Pro.

Dans le cadre de notre route, la Via Habsburg était présente les 25 et 26 septembre à Paris à la Maison de l’Europe qui propose actuellement aux visiteurs de découvrir la nouvelle exposition itinérante des 33 Itinéraires Culturels du Conseil de l’Europe en France, conçue par le ministère de la Culture française en relation avec les itinéraires, invitant les voyageurs à franchir les frontières pour découvrir leur histoire, le patrimoine et les valeurs de l’Europe dans un esprit de tourisme durable et porteur de sens.

La Route des Habsburg était aussi représentée par Alsace Destination Tourisme - Pro le 7 octobre dernier au Parlement Européen à Strasbourg lors de la réunion de l’Intergroup on European Cultural Heritage sur invitation de M. In den letzten beiden Tagen durften wir Herrn Levan Kharatishvili empfangen, der vom Kulturrouteninstitut des Europarates nominiert wurde, um die Via Habsburg zu evaluieren.

Dabei versuchten wir dem Evaluator einen umfassenden Einblick in unsere Tätigkeiten zu geben. Neben zahlreichen Gesprächen und Interviews fand sich auch die Möglichkeit einige unserer Wegpunkte gemeinsam zu begehen.

Wir danken dabei herzlichst unseren Mitgliedern, dem Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, dem Schloss Artstetten und dem Stift Lilienfeld für die tollen Empfänge & Führungen!

Ebenso möchten wir uns bei Filmemacher Gernot Stadler bedanken, der seine mehrteilige Dokumentationsreihe "Die Habsburger in Europa" vorstellte und darüber berichtete wie ihn die Via Habsburg - die einen der Erzählstränge bildet - inspirierte.

Zwei Tage voller Eindrücke, die gezeigt haben, wie einzigartig und bunt die Kulturroute Via Habsburg ist! 📍🗺🏰

Over the past two days, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mr Levan Kharatishvili, who was nominated by the Council of Europe's Cultural Routes Institute to evaluate the Via Habsburg.

We endeavoured to give the evaluator a comprehensive insight into our activities. In addition to numerous discussions and interviews, we also had the opportunity to visit some of our waypoints together.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to our members, the Museum Wien, Artstetten and Lilienfeld for the wonderful receptions and guided tours!

We would also like to thank filmmaker Stadler, who presented his multi-part documentary series "The Habsburgs in Europe" and reported on how Via Habsburg – which forms one of the narrative strands – inspired him.

Two days full of impressions that showed how unique and colourful the Via Habsburg cultural route is!📍🗺🏰

Ces deux derniers jours, nous avons eu le plaisir d'accueillir M. Levan Kharatishvili, désigné par l'Institut des itinéraires culturels du Conseil de l'Europe pour évaluer la Via Habsburg.

A cette occasion, nous avons essayé de donner à l'évaluateur un aperçu complet de nos activités. Outre de nombreux entretiens et interviews, nous avons également eu l'occasion de parcourir ensemble quelques-uns de nos points de repère.

Nous remercions chaleureusement nos membres, le Museum Wien, le d'Artstetten et l' de Lilienfeld pour leurs superbes réceptions et visites guidées !
